How do I buy stuff w.o thus damn card

Paypal works. And with some cards, you can call the provider and get them to okay your gOg transactions.

yeah i called they said no transactions to europe - and my paypal is canned too.

I've used pre-paid Visa cards in the past.

Welcome to my world. My ADP debit card is US/ Canada only as well.

Only thing I can suggest is find someone with an honest Credit Card (Not a debit card), give them the cash and get them to add money to your wallet.

That's what I;ve been doing. Or was. Both my sources have now dried up.

edit: There was a change made in 2012 to US law. Unfortunately there are so many credit card spam websites, it makes it hard to find a decent description as to what happened.

Are you able to open an account in another bank or does money only exit the US via US bank? Also there is paysafe card but I don't know if you have that option at checkout.

I have it on mine but (And I;m being honest here) only places that sell them are convenience stores in parts of town I wouldn't be going to.

What about buying the Paysafecard online? You can get Paysafecard credit on ebay, Apple store, Google store. I've bought it on a local auction site with no hassles, just find a place where you can buy using your credit/debit card or Paypal.

As a European I find it really odd that American banks don't let you buy things from Europe... I could understand if they blocked payments to somewhere like India or African countries (where a lot of online scams originate from) but I don't think Europe is really such a hot bed of online scams and criminality...

I doubt my bank would stop me from using my card to buy things anywhere.. they might give me an anti fraud call to make sure it's really me doing it but once that was clear they would allow the payment through as far as I know.

Well, I don't know how frequent it is but there must be quite a few because we get these kind of questions a lot..
It just seems like a particularly strange limitation, especially for a debit card.

Cleaning up the mess from a fraud transaction probably costs as much as a hundred or a thousand good transactions. And when the fraud crosses borders without some sort of reciprocal agreement, that cost goes higher. Some banks don't want to pay that.

The only time I've had any of mine blocked was with my Navy Federal card, which seems odd because their members - by nature of the job - will likely be using cards all around the world. Without calling, however, gOg eventually showed up on the "okay" list and I can now use it on this store.

Navy Federal Credit Cards work fine here. That's what the lady was using to add money onto my account.
