Hey all, I just got the information that we need to remove Candle from the store today - I asked for it to happen at 3 PM CET to give at least some time to grab it for anyone interested.

I'm very sorry to bring you this news.
Luckily already in my library

Always find these Urgent removals weird, its like some accountant is looking through the books and "What! we've been making money from GOG, who authorized this? Stop it immediately!"
It appears to be self-published on GOG, but published by Daedalic Entertainment on Steam.

I wonder what's the reason behind the delisting. Did Daedalic request the removal of the devs themselves?

I guess there's no point in begging for the missing soundtrack and artbook.

We seem to be getting a removal every week or so as of late. And yet some seem to think this is fine? :\

Me too! And I enjoyed it!
The list of games removed from the catalog is getting longer and longer.

As far as I know, only two titles have come back so far: Rollercoaster Tycoon and an ARMA game.

That doesn't exactly give us much hope... :(

If the rights were transferred, as SargonAelther mentions, then it's more like "What!? Someone's making money from our game and it's not us!? Stop it immediately!"

Well at least none of the porn games and cat games seem to ever get delisted ;D :\
(apologies for the stupid jokes...you make some good points)

If that's the case and the games make money, why don't the new IP owners hardly ever put the games back up for sale?

My guess is this trend is a sign and we'll see more and more games start to get the same treatment as the years go by.
Now this doesn't mean gog is gonna close up shop anytime soon, but this ain't exactly gog's heyday.
(aside: this reminds me of a local store hit by 'shrinkage' so much they don't bother fully restocking the shelves anymore)

It's a shame to see another get delisted. Though I am bracing for more. I hope God of War and Uncharted go on sale again at least once more so I can pick up the drm-free versions. I passed the last time they were on sale, but now after the whole GoW 2 PSN account BS and the HZD remaster, I am guessing as soon as GoG's contract with Sony expires, all the Playstation games here will be delisted also never to return. I have given up on any other Sony games coming here so I'll have to pick up Ratchet and Clank next time I see it cheap, along with Ghost of Tsushima once it starts going down in price. I was really hoping to get both those games here but I think that ship has already been sunk.
Has the GOG title retention team been drinking Rickeys?

No, many more games that were delisted came back, e.g. Re-Volt or the Telltale games.

Otherwise with more games in the store more delistings are logical. As long as the percentage of delisted games stays more or less the same, everything is ok.

And the Descent games.

Oh yeah, I forgot. But that's far away from many :-)

I don't remember how the publisher switch of Fallout 1/2/Tactics was done. The might have been delisted for some time as well…

That's why I said for example.

Also compared to your 2 games, about 20 from Telltale could easily count as many more. ;-)
