Greetings!

I would like to share with you a game that I played on PS2 years ago and that I have fond memories of.
I share my love with you because I have hope that you will share my wish to make it come on PC and on GOG.
There is a wish for that in GOG's wishlist and I will try my best to make you want to vote for it so we could show our wish to the developers and make them think seriously about porting this good old game to PC and release it DRM-free on our beloved GOG.
The reason why I create a topic for a wish is because I know that only the most well-known games have a real chance to be noticed in the endless wishlist where so many wishes are drown in the ocean.
So here I am:

The game is Urban Chaos: Riot Response.
As I said, I played it on PS2 years ago and I enjoyed it so much that I played it several times and I still want to play it again!
I think it is the best cop game that I ever played!

It is from 2006 and you play a cop in a city where violence and gangs are so overwhelming that a zero tolerance cop squad has been created, T-Zero.
You are one of this squad's members.
Your goal is to restore order in your city by any mean.

You can either kill rogues without mercy or incapacite them with your stun gun, you choose how you deal with them.

You can shield with your anti-riot transparent shield.

You must save innocent civilians in danger.

Some rogues hold an hostage so you must make them shoot you and shield until they are out of ammo then shoot them in the head when they are reloading, truly amazing gameplay!

You cooperate with firemen and medics, you can give orders to them.

The objectives are varied, there are secondary optional objectives and optional missions to unlock with optional prototype weapons to unlock.

You can upgrade your weapons and abilities with medals that you earn depending of how you perform and which are kinda like RPG's experience points, giving a character's progression part to the game.

The graphics and physics were amazing at its time.

This game was really fun from the start to the end, it is not repetitive, you never get bored, the environments are varied, the plot gets deeper and deeper until the final showdown.

This game is spectacular, when you play it, you feel as if you play in an action movie!

You are in complete chaos during the whole game, rogues are everywhere, come from everywhere, wreck havoc everywhere, there are explosions everywhere, the whole city is on fire and you have to make order in all that mess, which is a big task!

Rogues taunt you all of the time, like at a point in the game when you shoot and wound a gang leader who was holding an hostage in a building then he falls into an elevator shaft and yells at you "I'M GONNA TO **** YOUR MOTHER SO HARD, I'M GONNA TO MAKE HER SCREAM!", then if you want, you might press the elevator button to call the elevator which squishes him. :-3

Really, this game is something to be played at least once in a life.

It is the first game developed by the same studios who developed Batman Arkham Asylum, Batman Arkham City and Batman Arkham Knight.

I know that this game is not available on PC but if enough people wish to make it come on PC, it will. ;-)

The story is that I believed that my first post was too big so I posted it in several parts. But if you read the next post, you will undertand that I finally understood the real reason why I couldn't post my first post so I edited my aforementionned first post to make it complete and now there is this post which has no more reason to be but that I cannot remove so don't be rude to it and let it be, okay? Oh I get it! I was raging because I couldn't post my whole message at once and I thought it was because GOG's posts' length was ridicilously limited.
I was thinking "GOSH! I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW SHORT IS THE LIMIT THAT GOG IMPOSE TO POSTS' LENGTH!!!".
Then I finally understood that it was because there was the word "f*ck" in my post so GOG just didn't want to post it but it didn't say it so I didn't know why I damn couldn't post my message.
Now I replaced the bad word with "****" and it worked fine.

*sigh* GOG... I love you but you could tell it, that you don't want to post messages with swear words, so I know why the hell that doesn't work. :-3

It was not clear because I had troubles to post the first post and I thought that it was because it exceeded length limitations so I cut it and posted it in several parts, this is why when you read the first part alone, it was not clear.
Now that I FINALLY understood what was wrong after minutes of trying and raging, I edited the first post to post the complete message so I invite you to read the first post again now. ;-)

Urban Chaos: Riot Response was a PS2/Xbox only title that did decent at best. Your chances of seeing it ever be ported to PC are slim to none.

Best bet? Use a PS2 emulator if you have a decent rig. That's as close as you'll get.

No. And I didn't know it because I just got stuck into an endless "Please wait, processing..." each time that I tried to post my message and I thought it was a question of length's limitation so I cut it and posted it in several parts.
But when I wasn't able to post a single sentence, I understood that something was wrong in that sentence.
So I understood that it was the word "f*ck" which was preventing my message to be posted from the beginning.
I would have liked that GOG tells it: "Sorry but we don't want to post swear words so we will not post your message until you remove that bad word." instead of saying me "Please wait, processing..." and make me wait forever until the end of times. :-3

Weird, considering I can say it. Usually when its stuck on processing, I find that there is some markup language problem such as an unclosed quote or hyperlink or something like that.

Anyway, game looks kinda fun, but as others have stated, it's unlikely to come here. Still one can always hope.

All that I ask you is to vote for the wish if you would like that this game gets ported to PC or ignore it if you don't.
I am not asking you to make statistics and probabilities, statistics and probabilities are results of our will and our actions.
As I said, this game doesn't exist on PC currently, but if enough people support the wish to make it come to PC, the developers will consider it, this is why we make our own chances, statistics and probabilities are nothing but the quantified results of our will and our actions.
So the only question worth to be asked is not "What are the chances?" but "Would you like it?". ;-) I only replaced "f*ck" with "****" and that worked smooth. So I know it was the reason.
Looks like GOG have decided to make sure that I stay polite but they don't care if you are gross. :-3
You find this game fun? If it was available on GOG, you would buy it? Then just vote for this wish and if enough people just do it too, this wish will come true, that's all.
It will take you one second of your lifetime but it will add a voice to make a wish grow stronger.

Well guess what? I'm free to tell you that this wish is a huge stretch. The chances that Square Enix will look back at an average at best game from 11 years ago and randomly decide to port it to PC, if they even still have the source code laying around, and if they even know they own the thing since it was originally published by Eidos, is slim to none.

That's why I made the friendly suggestion that if you want to play this badly on PC, use a PS2 emulator. If you don't like that suggestion, ignore it. Otherwise, I'll not sugarcoat things and tell you to not get your hopes up over this. "Would you like it?" isn't going to change a damn thing. The wishlist only serves as a tool for GOG to seek out which PC games they should focus on next. I doubt it convinces any developers or publishers of anything.

And guess what? I'm free to tell you that your pessimism is irrelevant.
Now use some of your imagination if you have some.
Imagine that Square Enix receives a link to this wish where they see that there are thousands of persons who wish to buy a PC version of an old game that they own the licence.
Is it that hard for you to imagine that Square Enix would think "Hmm... I never thought that there were so many people who still want to buy a game that I completely forgot about. It might be a good idea to grant their wish if they are willing to pay for it. It might be a profitable project."?
Moreover, you keep claiming that this game was "average at best". This is only your own opinion, I was clear about mine.
I presented the game, I told how I liked it, I explained why I liked it, I gave many reasons to like it, and I asked to people who like it too or who think that they might like it if they played it to vote for the wish to make it come on PC.
That's as simple as that.
Your persistant pessimism and criticism are irrelevant here.

And you keep talking about chances, probabilities, numbers, mathematics... I bet that if you would have lived in ancient times, you would have said to the Wright brothers: "Pfff... Chances that you ever fly are slim to none.", you would have said to russian astronauts: "Pfff... Chances that you ever go into outer space are slim to none.", you would have said to Tim Berners-Lee: "Pfff... Chances that you ever create a network which will connect everyone in the world are slim to none.", to sum it up: you are the typical person who doesn't believe that dreams can come true and who always tell to those who believe in their dreams that that chances that their dreams ever come true are "slim to none". In one word: pessimist.
Then I'm gonna to tell you something: That is not because you don't have dreams or you have some but you don't believe that they can come true that you must tell to people who actually believe in their dreams that they shouldn't.
Meaning: You don't need to share your pessimism, keep it for yourself.
You are free to answer anything you want but keep in mind that I will be free to answer too and that I will always have something to answer to your pessimism because I am optimist.
Just for you know that trying to convince me that dreams cannot come true is a lost battle against me. ;-)

You know a sure way of recognizing pessimistic persons? They claim to be "realistic" and use the word "realistic" as if reality had to be dull and that anyone who talks about a nice reality is being "unrealistic".
They don't believe that things might be better than they are and they think that people who believe in nice things are stupid and they mock them as if being pessimistic was the clever way of thinking.
I would make you notice that I presented possibilities as well. I would make you notice that I didn't say "I wish that Square Enix thinks all of a sudden for no reason to port an old game that they might have forgot it exists on PC", actually you are the one who has said such a non-sense.
I would make you notice that what I really said is: "If enough people show to Square Enix that they wish a port on PC then Square Enix might consider it.", which is completely different of what you said, isn't it?
But do you ever pay attention to what I say actually, I doubt it. Because you just came here, told that you don't think that this game is that great and that chances that it gets to be ported on PC are slim to none and "friendly suggested me" to play it with an emulator, which is not what I wish for.
Then you have just kept repeating the same thing without paying attention to what I answered, which makes me think that I might as well not answer to you because you don't give a shit to what I have to say, you are here only for imposing your opinion "because you are free to do so".
You have told me that you are free to say whatever you want as if I was arguing that point whereas you are the one who came here to tell me to give up on my wish so you are the one who has kept trying to deny my freedom.
You realize that you talked only to tell me that I should give up my wish and so you are the one who tells me what I can do or not do?
This is why I answered to you that your comment was irrelevant because it was out of the topic, I just asked to vote for the wish or ignore it, not to tell me what I can wish for or not.
And as I said, you are the one here who doesn't pay attention to what I have to say so you are the one who "plugs his ears".

Actually you talk to me as if you were talking to yourself, claiming that I do what you are the one to do.

My point is that if you had lived at a time before planes and space travels, you would have claimed that such things are "unrealistic" and that people who believed they were possible are dumb.
And "this other shit" is just Internet, "the shit" that you are using right now...
I don't know what "get a thicker skin" means but what I know is that you should open your mind because currently, it is damn tight!
