IAmSinistar: Bingo. Not that I suspect an indie game like this would come in such forms. :)
We should make it a five-tiered release for you, then, since it would technically no longer be a three-tiered release :P
There's also a beautiful adventure game up there called "Dream" and a niftly looking steampunk / roguelike "RPG" called The Swindle.

It looks like it has Invisible, Inc like mechanics of building your little guy out for a proper heist, but the gameplay is realtime and similar looking to Mark of the Ninja. Could be interesting and the date on the card is for a release tomorrow.

Then it would technically be a cake. :)

Now, where is the tab for Stars Beyond Reach :)

Hooray! More transit goodness in an abstract puzzler form seems very appealing to me. *my inner German rejoices again* :)

According to its trailer its release is on August 11. You can play a demo on their official site, which I suppose will give you a taste of the endless mode. I really enjoyed the few games I just played. Damn that confounding river with my limited amount of tunnels! I like how it gives me added stuff at each week's end with an additional train for a line (called locomotives) and either extra tunnels, extra carriages for a train, or new lines. Starts out simple but grows quickly complex as random stations pop up, some even changing their destination designations. It's game over if a station stays overcrowded for too long. In my last game I figured to have an express route just to serve those.

Anyway, even in its limited demo form it's quite fun. Very much looking forward to the full game then. :)

Lastly, apparently the full price of the game will be $8.99 according to its Steam EA page, although I wouldn't be surprised if it got a launch discount on GOG seeing how the EA version right now is going for $6.99. So pricewise I'd say it's just about right.

So very true! There's another market for GOG - Good Old Gâteau. :)

Indeed, here they are (looking tempting!):

Yes, both are looking good, I checked them out a little while ago. Dream is probably another mandatory purchase for me. And cute that the protagonist is named after H. P. Lovecraft. :)

LOL didn't notice this *wanders off to check out the gamecard again and see the reference I missed*

Also, thanks for doing the links zeffyr! I missed them first go around and was kidding myself for not doing it. Then I kind of just forgot :(

*edit Yup, sure was right there plain to see! The Dreamer Howard Phillips. Whoops!

Gee whiz golligers! I only spent the last hour-and-a-half with Mini Metro demo, and even in its very limited form it's a blast. So buying this! ... Still haven't beaten my 1300-some passenger score from only my second play.

Edit: Never mind. I just beat that score with a count of 1,530 passengers. :)

WOOOO! New score! 2262 passengers, baby! ... Guess I should call it quits for a bit. ;)

Great to see it come here, having picked it up in the recent humble drm-free sale. I've got probably 6-8 hours in, and that's on a build that doesn't even have a soundtrack yet. I can see myself playing this for a few minutes a day for many days to come. Relaxing and hectic indeed.

Thanks. I managed to beat that later with a score of 2953. Don't think I could push it much further, since once the demo stops adding new stations a drastic city-wide increase in passenger volume will inevitably swamp you no matter what.

I don't think I'll touch the demo anymore as I certainly seem to have gotten the most one can get out of it, but it definitely made me hungry for more. Yeah, I'm very much looking forward to this one. :)

Tell me guys, how diversified is the gameplay? Can you base your strategy on completely different solutions or is it more like the same actions repeating over and over, just getting harder as you progress?
