So for 2 days it's been trying to update, going extremely slow (I haven't shut down my PC or anything). This happens only on the GoG Galaxy, never had a similar thing with Steam. Any ideas as to why this happens?

I suggest you fire the person who lowballed the CDN bid, and then suggest a new network/content delivery paradigm for GOG such as Avian Carrier or Sneakernet.

I agree. GOG, your current CDN provider isn't up to spec for a digital content delivery business.

Of course, there may not even be anyone who can currently (with legal authority) work the numbers, because that's the type of bureaucracy that GOG decided to shape itself as.
