randomuser.833: Nevermind, see it was a necro.
SargonAelther: It was a "necro" for a valid reason lol. Why make a new thread when one exists already? It wasn't even a year old.
Braggadar: Except for whatever reason I haven't got an update flag for TW3 since sometime around when they moved to the Complete Edition.
SargonAelther: It looks like you are right. While I am receiving blue dots for most games now again, I haven't received one for Witcher 3 since the 4.00 release. Perhaps they just didn't retroactively re-publish the dot? In either case, I'll update it manually for now.
Also, I'm kinda glad this was broken, that means I have the "original" remaster release which had some "accidental" content ROFl. Backing that up separately for keeping now.
I was about to answer a question from 2022. That would have been a necro nobody wants.
About Witcher 3.
The new Variant got another internal ID as the old Witcher 3.
You (and I) bought the old one with the old ID. For our profiles the old ID is stored (even when we got the new Witcher 3).
The updates are connected to the new ID, so when the system compares IDs, there is no update for our Witcher 3 ID but for a Witcher 3 ID we don't have.
It is the same for some preorder versions, that are not at the store anymore or for some In Dev games.
Yes, you still got the updates, because Updates can be shipped out for several IDs as it seems..
Update Flag is not - for whatever reason.
Right now I use an own tag for all my games with this problem and check the exes of the installers against my downloaded files I stored in a folder all together.
Don't ask. This side is a technical nightmare.
