Why not decided to get it anyway. Was eyeing the game some time ago but what is that short period of a discount only until 10pm?

I wonder if they gave any love to the unjustifiably overlooked keyboard controls in this update. There's really no good reason for a side- or top-view game where you can't even aim independently from where the character's looking to not have decent keyboard controls (the devs' reason seems to be something along the lines of "We don't like playing action games with mouse & keyboard, and you shouldn't, either"), but I had to remap them almost entirely to get it to where it's comfortably playable. Even then, the "dash" key doesn't really work well, and remapping that one to somewhere I won't accidentally/reflexively press it seems broken, too. But other than that, a sane key mapping makes the game a breeze to play, assuming one is already proficient in "action M & KB-fu".

Updated the game, ran it and saw no change to the title screen. Is that normal?

Also for the longest time there has been no way to connect to the servers in order to download ANY of the community maps.

Is this some kind of an F U to GOG for some reason as this has been going on for YEARS.

It's a standalone thing IIRC.
