JMich: I can answer that. The small things are things an employee can respond on his own. The bigger issues are things one has to clear with management before giving an answer.
snowkatt: that is as maybe
but outright ignoring our criticism doesnt help much either ( ie stonewalling us again ) a prefab awnser of " we are looking in to that" or "i wil get back to you on that" is better then nothing
better then getting ignored at least
because most of us here are getting sick and tired of being ignored while gog pretend to listen to us half asses a "solution"and then pretends its the awnser we have been clamoring for
Ciris: An important feature that I'll be adding to the main topic as well is that blocking users on chat will also be available through the forum tooltip (where you can start a conversation with them or add them to friends) - this aims to help you avoid personal attacks or spam from users you're already recognizing as ones you want no contact with.
snowkatt: about time !
this should have been in the initial post
I can tell you that I am hearing the criticism in this (and other) thread(s) and making sure it's heard further down the line. However, I cannot give a date at which/by which action will be taken, as that decision falls beyond my competence and often depends on a multitude of other factors, from staff availability, through other priority tasks, to the amount of time it takes to make a functionality work, and probably more that I'm not aware of.
It's also beyond my competence to assign a task, judge the importance of a feature or effort required to complete a feature, so all I can do is pass your feedback along and sincerely sympathise that certain site features are not up to the expected standard - and even if I do get internal information on what is or isn't in the works, I'm not always able to pass it along.
(Sorry if that was a bit of a wall of text, just wanted to clarify some things).
As for the info about blocking users on chat via the forums, I only got clarification and full explanation on it now - I've edited the main post appropriately to reflect it. :)
