Seems especially popular...
Gede: I like the square/reef knot (called the "razor sharpener bend" in my portuguese knots book if I'm translating it correctly). It looks nice and simple. It also makes people think "I believe I can do that!", and makes people more aware of other forms of knots. And yet, it is not flashy, but pleasantly discreet.
You'll have to know that in Portuguese, the word for "knots" (plural) is the exact same word we use for "we/us". Sounds like some things are lost in translation... which is sorta too bad, but can be funny.
If you've never watched Azumanga Daioh, there's one episode where the girls are talking about written words in Japanese, about how combinations of smaller words becomes something entirely different, like sea + pigs = dolphin. (Although the English dub seems to be lacking the hemorrhoids explanation at the beginning...)
Anyways that's a little off topic...
