Believe dat.

It's been 20 years since we crash-landed on a planet full of ugly aliens, snazzy guns, and conveniently places power-ups. Today we're going back for a nostalgic trip FREE of charge!

Together with Epic Games, we are celebrating this anniversary with a 48h giveaway of Unreal Gold, the hallmark FPS that expanded the shooter genre with open areas, sweet weapon upgrades and, well, unreal lighting effects.

Grab it for FREE through our front page banner until May 24, 5pm UTC. If you already own the game, you will receive a code for a friend (needs to be redeemed before June 7th, 10pm UTC).

Then make sure to grab the rest of the Unreal series at 80% off until May 29, 5pm UTC.
Happy anniversary and thanks for the freebie!

Thanks a bunch for the link! :)

tinyE: The two Tournament ones are pretty much MP? Correct?
Yes & No: even though i've had some MP UT matches in the past (on 56K - the nightmare!) and they were quite the fun, most of the time i spent in SP. The single player campaign is nothing more than a series of matches that get progressively challenging the further you go and it's great fun. I suggest you buy both of them as they are equally good.
What would've made this perfect, is if you finally released Unreal 3 here, as it's been DRM-free for years (at least, I thought so?).

It's probably the last game in the series that could ever come here, seeing the new one is not a normal UT release.

Thanks for the giveaway though! :)

Thanks gog
Thank you for this!

One of the few FPS games I ever finished, though it was with liberal use of the god mode cheat, as for most of the game I only cared about admiring the very impressive level design, gorgeous sky and progressing the story. I never got the Na Pali expansion, though - I wonder if it's easily accessible and makes sense as a near-standalone experience backed up by memories from 19 years ago...
Guess I might find out soon! :)
Thanks for the free game, Epic and gog.com.

btw:
Isn't the Anthology also DRM-free?
Thanks GOG. So... any chance you guys are going to get UT3?
Unreal Tournament 3 would have been an instabuy, even at full price... oh well... maybe for the 25th anniversary...
Wow Epic, 20 years ago, you made one of the best fps series out there. Then, 20 years later, you completely abandoned it in favor of...........Copying PUBG

It is indeed. And as far as I can remember one of the patches removed cd-check from my UT2003 and UT2007 hard copies as well.
So many wonderful hours spent exploring the Sunspire, Dasa Pass & Cellars, Harobed Village. More levels than can be easily named and a hidden area in nearly every one of them. If you find half of Unreal Gold's secrets in the first play through you are a sharp eyed wizard. Hint: The Nali are your friends. https://www.oldunreal.com/ https://icculus.org/ are the place for curated maps, mods, and links to the linux port.

Grab Unreal Tournament and a couple of friends on a Friday and you will still be playing until the wee hours of Saturday morning. Get a dozen or more of the Modder's levels and you will play until lunchtime. Hint: The Translocator is multi-purpose and indispensable.

Unreal II is a scary dark hallway shooter and an entertaining way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Unreal Tournament 2004 the game is never uninstalled. Play for a few minutes, Mod it with unreal script or newly created levels and play for many, many hours. It's the fast pace, alt-fire weaponery, and vehicles that keep it the top tier classic.

"Mount Up and Ride Out!"

If you manage a single complaint...Get double your money back!... j/k

Enebias: I'll post it here, too: http://www.unrealtexture.com/Unreal/Website/Downloads/Textures/ExtremeEnd/StockUnreal/UnrealExtremeEnd.htm

Improved textures for Unreal Gold, a fantastic sight to enjoy the orignal, untouched gameplay with much prettier graphics.
Is it just the top file (Missing High End files) that needs to be downloaded or do I need all the .utx files too? Page doesn't make it quite clear. Thanks.

EDIT: Mean to say 'Thank you' to GOG too but got carried away with textures... :)

Ah the many moments of breaking physics by using rockets as a pogostick.

Good, then I don't need to buy the other ones. Thanks for the information.
Thanks a lot for the (uncensored) freebie, GOG and Epic Games! ;)
