It's been 20 years since we crash-landed on a planet full of ugly aliens, snazzy guns, and conveniently places power-ups. Today we're going back for a nostalgic trip FREE of charge!

Ever heard of how the game unreal was made? "After finishing the game, the programmers left the room. What was left, was a 5-foot high pile in the middle of the room of pizza-boxes, cans and starbucks coffeecups."

neuroboy: Damn! It's not been Macified and I deleted my Bootcamp partition last month because Windows 10 update hell. Would've loved to play this again, especially the expansion. Oh well.
Just use Wineskin, it's easy and just works (no fiddling with registry settings etc.) Well, except you have to go into the game settings and set the movement controls to use WASD instead of arrow keys, that's how old it is! Way better than bootcamp, no rebooting and the game launches in a second or two.

Playing this game back when it released with maxed out details and running smoothly was really something to behold.
I fell head over heals with it and I was an Unreal/UT nut ever since. I'm even hooked on the new UT, despite it's pre-alpha state (and not a lick of attention by Epic for many months but I understand) and lack of Cliffy.

I only kind of wish I had held on to that physical copy but, whatever. This is great, thanks.

If you already own the game, you'll get the code. If you don't, the game is just added to your library. That's how it works as far as I understand.

Speaking of could someone at gog please fix the bug with saved games. When you uninstall the Unreal Gold it deletes all your save data even if you select otherwise. There's no way to get it back after that.

Frag! I'm in the same boat. Just saw this on GOG's Twitter feed, but apparently just missed the deal. :-(
