It's been 20 years since we crash-landed on a planet full of ugly aliens, snazzy guns, and conveniently places power-ups. Today we're going back for a nostalgic trip FREE of charge!

Together with Epic Games, we are celebrating this anniversary with a 48h giveaway of Unreal Gold, the hallmark FPS that expanded the shooter genre with open areas, sweet weapon upgrades and, well, unreal lighting effects.

Grab it for FREE through our front page banner until May 24, 5pm UTC. If you already own the game, you will receive a code for a friend (needs to be redeemed before June 7th, 10pm UTC).

Good, It is not just me then.

Since posting I have now got it. Only via galaxy though. The store front page has a "click here to get Gold free banner" that is not present in webbrowser format.

So for anyone else not yet getting it, Try it in galaxy. Also do not panic as theres still well over 24 hours for the promo, and we all know GoG will get this right. They are likely just in the process of updating the site with corrections and fixes.

i dont see any banner to click, when i press "Get It now" on game page it redirects to www.gog.com/#giveaway and nothing happens

Yeah, same here. I can add it from the search results directly to my cart - but then it costs money :)

I just tried clicking on the free link when I go directly to Unreal Gold and it redirects me to the main page and does nothing else. :/

GOG, please fix this.

viranimus: Is anyone else having an inability to add Unreal gold to cart so as to get it added to library?

Ive tried this in both firefox and Galaxy with the same result. Adding to cart just redirects to the GOG frontpage.

johnny_j: me too, its store page redirects to the home page too.
Tried with chrome and IE. Same result, the link is broken.

I have been unable to get the game, when I click on the get it here button it takes me to the front page on Galaxy, but there is no banner to click to get the game. I have tried on the website and still can't get it.
