So, unable to DL GOG games for two days now. Either with Galaxy or offline installer. Games from my Steam and Epic libraries download fine.

I assume it's due to current events., and I don't mind waiting, but a notice from GOG would have been appreciated.
No problems here.

I'm having the same problem. Downloads from the site time out after a few minutes. The install buttons on Galaxy are greyed out. Most of the time Galaxy freezes when trying to import data when I load it.
I just did a quick test, since I see that your location is set to United States. My location is US west coast. I'm on a laptop and in my dining room, which is where I have the absolute worst Internet connectivity in this house. It's at the edge of the connection range and tends to be the room where Internet just drops for the sake of dropping.

Anyway, I was able to successfully download an offline installer from the website as well as download/install through Galaxy.
I've done some testing now that I have time to. I tried both wired/wireless connections. No change. Nothing downloads. Then I thought I might try a VPN. I downloaded a free VPN, set my location to California (I'm in Washington) and was able to download and connect to Galaxy without any problems.

Dang. I thought that might be it, but I tried VPN on/off spoofing multiple locations. Still nothing. I can download elsewhere no problem.

Good to know I'm not the only one having an issue, though. Oh well, I've got 50 games on my drive, I'm sure I'll find something to do until it gets sorted.
I cannot find the original thread, but I recently stumbled over a thread by someone who also had problems downloading and it turned out to be some kind of network optimizer included somewhere in his mainboard driver suite or some such. Turning it off immediately fixed the issue.

For the record, just tried a download and it started right away and ran at maximal expected speed.

Slow speeds and failures are common in my experience... but most common recently (last year or so) I let downloads run overnight and often wake to a failure or two. Luckily most tend to fail after 75% so they can be dealt with pretty easily later.

as an additional test you could use your smartphone as wifi hotspot, connect your pc and try to download again..

I am reminded when i was in Korea, that they said they had software to increase the speeds of downloads by sending pre-emptive pings of 'i got it send the next one' because the fiberoptic cables were just that fast and they could get up to 4x faster than before; And the 'only problems' they had was when using it on live feed stuff where it was literally no longer there, while FTP file transfers you can request blocks that were missing/corrupted.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's related...

Maybe you're talking about cFosSpeed included with MSI motherboards and possibly others.

Did you check if your country did any bad deeds lately?

If companies are going to virtue signal and ban anyone for any reason, then i'd rather pirate than pay.

Companies should all be apolitical and treat everyone the same. If countries want to war let them war, that shouldn't prevent me from getting a burger or buying a game.

Yup, that sounds pretty much exactly like the one I stumbled into.

I've got an ASUS motherboard, no cFosSpeed, and I've never tweaked mb settings. It's not my connection, I can download normally everywhere except gog, and I could dl from here fine last week. I'm still still pulling my already vanishing hair here.
