That's true. They are akin to antibiotics. Take too many and the virus evolves.

And yes, can't live without Ublock Origin. If I ever turn it off it's like taking an acid trip down the memory lane straight to hell. All those chaotic flashing ads that spurs up everywhere is a nightmare, not only for the eyes and the stress on the brain; poor computer can't handle such abuse... :(

paladin181: UBlock Origin and win. AdClear on my phone. Do people really still look at ads in this day and age? Or do only the tech savvy get the ad free experience (until you cross a site that blocks access whilst you have an ad blocker active, that is)?
I have UBlock but don't really use it for anything other than the really crap sites (you know, the ones that take 20 minutes to load all the adverts), I don't really find ads all that bothersome and not worth the hassle of messing around blocking and unblocking things every time I visit a site and find something doesn't work because a script or site is blocked.

Privacy? I'm an American, what privacy have we ever had? I'm sure if my government wants to they can find out my Steam, Origin, and GOG accounts, plus Uplay.

And on the Internet? Privacy? Seriously? People believe they can be anonymous surfing the web?

I also thought ads on Facebook were handled by the company making the ads.

But then again Facebook thinks I can afford Rolex watches... ROTFLMAO.

The only problem I have is I saw a game on there and now I can't seem to find it or the advertisement for it. The game looked kind of interesting and I'd have liked to have taken a look at it but I have no idea what the title is. If you're wondering the ad included Septerra Core. That's the most I remember of it.

Oh yeah and I think Tahira as well was in there. But just can't remember that third game. It's driving me nuts.

Kind of a weird combo. Not sure about the gaming industry but I know with many industries, you have a shared advertising budget where the seller and the manufacturer share the cost of the advertising. Co-op dollars if you;re familiar with the term.

Unfortunately both of those games are from 2 different developers.

I finally did find it by accident, it was Tender Loving Care https://www.gog.com/game/tender_loving_care

Wonder how that ended up together. The only thing I can think of is it selected various games with the tag roleplaying at random.
