I still haven't purchased the gog.com version of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen and I got word today that it has microtransactions for hiring the Pawns or something with real life money in multiplayer?

Or was I told wrong?
I think the microtransaction are in "Dragon Dogma's Quest", a spin-off released on Japan on mobile. Please someone confirm (or disconfirm!)

I definitely hope so. Please, let this be wrong!

Can a gog.com please give a answer?
According to what I've read there are only micro transactions in the console versions, and they were only to buy some kind of in game currency (which you could get in game).

There are some micro transactions in the mobile game mentioned by Exhodus but nothing like what you're talking about.

The most likely bet is that it's Dragon's Dogma Online, a F2P MMO with micro transactions, that you have been told about, though I can't find any concrete info on what micro transactions that has.

So pointless unfounded clickbait scaremongering. Good job.

It's not a pointless clickbait scaremongering.

I put a question mark at the end of my topics sentence, because it was a question I asked.

Thank you for your answers.

Yes it is.

If you'd bothered to do any research you would have found it's a load of rubbish. You didn't bother to share where you 'heard' this fact you just spouted rubbish designed to rile up the users of Gog.

Here is the official Capcom FAQ linked in the release thread and posted in the sub forum:

20. What DLC is included? Are there any plans for future DLC?
Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen for GOG is the complete package. There is no additional content to
purchase beyond the base game! All previously released DLC on the console, including pre-order
exclusives and bonus content, are all baked into the base game here.
21. Does the game feature Rift Crystal microtransactions like the console versions?
No. The microtransaction model has been removed completely for the PC version. Players can earn Rift
Crystals through normal gameplay via loot drops, quest completion, and online pawn rentals.
Case closed.

Hey, look, that guy asked a legitimate question! Let's insult and downvote him!

I did my research and I don't trust Capcom's information.

Some people said Capcom just copy pasted the information from Steam to gog.com's store page.

It's a legitimate quesiton I asked to get more clarification.

No need to downvote me and insult me like Breja said.

If you are going to be a asshole to me for asking a question like what the hell?

So who's information would you trust other than that coming from the publisher and Gog?

And what? They added micro transactions specifically for the Gog version?

I haven't downvoted you, you get downvoted because everyone of your posts is exactly the same demands of Gog to do things they will never do or unfounded rumours. And point out where I insulted you?

I answered your question and pointed out what a ridiculous question it was in the first place, no more.

Saying my question is a ridiculous question is a insult to me when I'm trying to get more accurate information, mainly from a gog.com employee if possible.

Start . Read the linked FAQ (hosted by GOG themselves). Then check [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/um_dragons_dogma_dark_arisen_gogcom_version_has_microtransactions/post7]post 7.

Alternatively, ask whoever sent you word about the microtransactions for clarification. What kind of microtransactions are they talking about, which version of the game are they talking about, have they encountered it themselves or are they just repeating something they heard without verifying it.

At this point the person who told me this false information is just repeating something they heard without verifying the information I guess.

So to adaliabooks and you thank you for the answers.

To be fair, you should have phrased it as a question. ;)
As someone who bought the game when it was first released on GOG and who has almost finished it, I can definitely say there are no microtransactions in it.

But really, a 2 minute internet search should have been able to tell you that. Honestly, even if you don't trust Capcom for whatever reason (why would they lie about something that's very easy to check, though?), it's easy to find fansites and such.
