pigdog: I've seen this story pop up in a few places:
Ukraine's gold reserves transferred to the U.S

Now it could well be complete bull but it seems to be gaining momentum and credibility. To clarify, I really don't know. However, the British media have been so terribly biased, that I wouldn't put it past them to bury the story.

StingingVelvet: The US holds a lot of countries' gold, I don't think that story would be shocking or weird.
Im not sure if that gold is secure there. Last month when the German government wanted to check if everything is ok with the gold reserves they have in US they weren't allowed to check them at all. It seems that gold is gone.

I'm not sure that the gold is even there and whether it exists at all. I mean, ukrainian gold, of course. Information is spread on a "talked to someone who heard from somewhere" basis.

Yeah, I'm sure we just pocketed it. Man we're so evil! One wonders why other countries have us hold on to their gold when we're suck evil thieves.

I was not accusing anybody. Its just very fishy that the owners off the gold can not be granted access to it. And do mind that FED is a private bank and it has control over the gold reserves without any oversight.

Auric Goldfinger tried to take it all once. A Scotsman stopped him.

We're all know what its already was transferred to the Reptiloids mothership, so yes, after 1934 affair its really make you wonder why some countries are still trying.

I can't really speak to the intricacies of the federal reserve and whatnot. All I know is a lot of countries' gold is stored in the US and I doubt it still would be if it was stolen all the time. And it makes sense to me that facing possible Russian invasion Ukraine would send its money to another country for safe-keeping.

Who really knows, though.

Yeah I know it makes sence to have it there safe. It was only really weird when germans wanted to see their reserves and were denied.

I wished Romania had sent her gold to US also. But NO, we sent it to our allies, Russia. We haven't see much from it.

It's my hope that war doesn't start over there and a peaceful resolution can be found. It's true we have no exact idea where this military group came from that took over the military bases in Crimea, but they are way too organized and well equipped not to be a nations military. A band of citizen militia would looks something like this -

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJQW_0utHKY (you don't need sound, just fast forward to 57 seconds)

in Crimea we have these "pro-Russian" troops
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdcHCJy9el8 (you don't need sound for this either)

Now if you compare these two groups you start to notice something. The second group has uniform uniforms and uniform weapons. Oh yeah and access to military grade vehicles. Those tend to get a bit expensive even for our rich elite. If you watch other videos such as how they took over a naval base, it shows a highly organized group of people coming into the building. Hardly the discipline of a ad-hoc citizen force. All this shows without a shadow of a doubt that a nation is involved.

atleast it says "Only part of it had been returned as of 2010". If you guys send it to US nothing would be returned, instead Romania would be in debt for using their safekeeping policy

Oh come on. Do you have any kind of real journalistic article that says the US takes gold from other countries for safe-keeping and then keeps it? Please.
