Mjauv: Well, Sweden won but the poles again put up an honorable fight, scoring 2 goals (a third one withdrawn b/c of offside)
Not too mention, I think Spain wanted to qualify…

A good match indeed, but we in Poland have enough of good matches without a win. ;) I just hope the people in power in Polish Football Association won't fire our coach once again. The previous one was fired despite the fact that he qualified our team to the Euro 2020 finals. Anyway congrats! :)

Thanks! I thought the poles played a very impressive game but ofc I'm happy for our win. :)

Before people lash out at your coach, they should question the logistic of this Euro. You guys put a lot of kilometers traveling here and there (7160 kms as of June 21st) while some teams didn't have to go anywhere. That impacted your players, without a doubt.
Skweeky bums time for Germany last night. Whilst they still have that great pass it around outside the box, they are really missing a good striker who can actually get in there and put it in the net. England next I believe, should be interesting.

Yes, that was probably not without meaning. The tournament is mostly focused around teams that are hosts. Those teams don't have to travel on large distances. At least mostly. All other teams are in a worse position. It's a huge downside of a tournament that's hosted by so many countries.

I never understood the appeal of watching a bunch of millionaires kicking a ball. It's such a boring, over-hyped sport.

Few things in this world are "for everyone". You don't like football, some don't like video games. But I agree about it being over-hyped.

Well, the skill involved in football, as with any sport is something to watch. I agree with you on the money, some years back I stopped watching it (apart from euro and World Cup) because it’s all about the money. Even the most ardent fan must see that now with the super league bollx. That and these billionaire players with their political messages.
Well, Wales got a bit of a kicking. Shame, but they were beaten. Italy had a bit of worrying last extra time, otherwise a pretty dull game.
Gutted for the Austrians, really felt like they deserved it more to advance than Italy.
And what a game by the Czechs, in particular Schick, just now, made the Netherlands look like a completely different team.
Congrats to Denmark, too.
Spanish goalkeeper seeking asylum!!!
Croatia - Spain 3:5 (3:3) - strange, wild, entertaining... with silly own goal, and some unexplainable behavior from completely disinterested Ante Rebic - never have I seen player to exit field in the middle of opponents attack to change his boots and of course ESP scored, or left back (Gvardiol) decides to go and drink some water on the right side, leaving his side empty, and of course ESP scored.

Switzerland - France... another wild one, France 1:0 behind, Swiss just missed penalty :)
