Another forum I peruse listed this package.

"Just so you know, you can get Witcher 3 for $30 on Steam or you can get the trilogy which activates on GoG (from Ubisofts store) for $30." was what she`d typed.

I`d always thought you could only purchase GOG keys from GOG.

Not true for CD RED products. You can buy a gog key of Witcher 3 on Humble if you wan't: https://www.humblebundle.com/store/p/thewitcher3_wildhunt_storefront

It is. Uplay is mentioned on the official Witcher page as a store that sells Witcher 3.
I don't know if it holds true for TW3, but for past games in the series I thought that even if you got them on another store they came with a code you can redeem on GOG for a backup copy, to attract potential customers to GOG.

The Witcher games are always redeemable on GOG, you just need the cdkey, no matter where you have bought them.

Guess they are safe to buy from there then :)
