GOG really ought to figure something out with SEGA. As I keep saying, GOG should commission ports of SEGA console games to the PC and use that as an excuse to be on speaking terms.

To be honest, I think GOG should go after some of their more recent titles that don't appear to have any DRM, or just the bare minimum Steam DRM, such as Alpha Protocol, Bayonetta, Binary Domain, Valkyria Chronicles 1, & Vanquish. If those are still a little too recent, going after their classics collection from the Good Old Games angle would be a killer move, as those games also so far as I'm aware don't use any mishmash of DRM. Seeing the old Genesis/Mega Drive games on GOG would just make a ton of sense to me.

If there was a third prong to be added, I think GOG could go a step further and subsidize emulators such as BSNES, PCSX2, and so on. In exchange for funding development, GOG would host emulators and require a splash screen to be added - "Buy legal ROMs at GOG.com". A clause could be added where the emulators are freeware, but requires that commercial distributors such as Nintendo and Sony must keep the splash screen if they use the emulators themselves.
Basically, the idea is to dominate emulators so thoroughly, that Nintendo, SEGA, speedrunners, and others would prefer to give GOG free advertising than to use an inferior emulator.

Did you see what they post there? It's already filled with steam's finest trolls. Your thread over there doesn't get much sympathy and there are almost no serious posts over there.https://steamcommunity.com/app/535930/discussions/0/1734338354735474127/

Gmr_Leon: Bummer that this slipped Denuvo in there. However, it looks like they may be patching it out in Hotfix v1.02.
well, this will be a good opportunity to put to rest those rumors that denuvo slows down the game. i have a crappy laptop I play on now, so the removal should improve my framerate / speed/ will see later today.Post edited September 05, 2018 by amok

Yeah, there is no difference because Denuvo on Unity games does not work properly. Exe file is still unprotected, and there is no many triggers where Denuvo is active anyway, so there is no difference in performance. If you want games that have an impact on performance you have Injustice 2 and RIME that had millions of triggers to the point performance was horrible for everyone, till they removed denuvo and made it DRM free by bringing the game to GOG. You can look those 2 games up, those are just some examples.
In the end it all depends how many triggers, checkups and such denuvo has in a game, it varies game to game.
