Over 125GB of data has been leaked online with more projected to be leaked in the future as the data appears to go all the way back to the beginning of Twitch.

Would be a good idea to change your Twitch passwords.

Other information leaked include a possible competitor to Steam code named "Vapor" (because what we need is yet another client based DRM store), Twitch Security Tools, and Payouts.

Heads up: people may want to make sure all passwords are unique. Also enable 2FA.

And a suggestion since payments also seem to be compromised: if your bank allows it, create a digital credit card and use the physical card only when absolutely needed. If your CC gets leaked, it's much easier and faster to disable a digital one and issue a new one than doing the same with a physical one.

It really pissed me off when my bank got rid of that feature. Which is why I use PayPal whenever possible now.

Eurogamer was quick to point out the REAL scandal: most top earners on Twitch are WHITE MALES.

(They can ofc rant about diversity all they want but it seems a tad tactless to have gender and ethnicity be your focal points in the middle of a crisis of colossal proportions)

I realize that no security is perfect but come on, these big tech corpos need to get their act together. Every day, another leak of some sort.

Also, just a note: Amazon already has a client for the games you get via Twitch. I don't know if that means this "Vapor" is a rework of that client or if it's something else entirely but yeah, Amazon developed their own client that seems to have replaced the Games section of the Twitch desktop app.

Twitch was accelerating the decline of humanity by enabling camgirls and famous-for-being-famous ''personalities'' to make bank by catering to (mentally)teenage foot fetishists. This leak has accelerated said decline by showing how much money they were making.

The very top is a team called Critical Roll. Half of them are men and half are women. They very publicly support LGBTQ and at least one of them is publicly a member of said community. I don’t know what this article is but it ain’t journalism. It’s just making shit up on the internet.

Western-centric game journalism is like that; its just a reflection of American politics.
