Night Dive is doing some amazing work here... These guys need some serious credit....

FunFact: Nightdive is doing a System Shock 1 Remake too ^_^
Cool. I was just thinking of this game earlier today. The only time I played this game was from Abandonware. Hopefully they tighten up the wonkier aspects of the controls, but either way it'd be cool to play this game more legitimately.
Turok: Dinosaur Hunter - NoFog Edition :P

Please, please have ragdoll physics.

. . . and an option to turn the hud off.

No, No screw ragdoll physics. I love those pre-scripted death animations.

Shooting a guy in the neck makes him bleed from the neck and makes choking/gargle noises. Same with the Raptors.

And Turok 2 just renders the enemies into meat bags.

The map is your friend.

And there can always be mods to fix it.

Afaik it's made by Samuel "Kaiser" Villarreal, who also made the awesome PC versions of Doom64.
Unfortunately he stopped working on Powerslave because of Turok.

It was a clever move by Nightdive, getting such people.

I remember giving up on Turok because of a stupid pillar-jump sequence.
Man I want to be excited, I remember the previous games as being awesome.
However I feel more or less done with the FPS genre, which makes me somewhat sad because I used to really like it.
Well I'll be damned, Turok with a draw distance.

I'll reserve any excitement 'til someone confirms a GOG release.

Powerslave is a great throwback game... super fun and easy to control, with this guy at the helm you know its going to be awesome! controls were always the failing of Turok, if anything was... so yes, pumped now knowing he's the architect behind it.
Wait, there were human enemies in Turok? I remember fighting robots and dinos.
I'm really looking forward to this. I know it won't be as good as I remember but it will be nice to wander those massive maps again and explore familiar and forgotten territory.

Why play with an emulator, when there were perfectly fine PC ports of Turok 1-2 (on which the remaster version is based apparently)?

In the non-German versions there were no robots in the jungle - silly, I know...
You can't even hurt those meat bags with arrows in real life.
Imagine a jungle without robots!

PS: The amount of blood in this game was so over the top, it was hilarious.
I can still imagine my surprise when I've seen the original version for the first time and someone got an arrow to the neck.
