I have searched the forum for an answer but could not come up with anything.
My problem: I see the game update notification in my Library. I select "updated" but the notification won't leave until I click on every single game. It'a beginning to be an issue because my library is 470 games big. I would like to turn the notifications off (best option) or have them to be displayed just once, not foreven until I click on every single updated game. Besides, I'm not even told what the update is about and I don't want to go to check on the "what's new" forum thread.

I can't edit this post to be a question now, right?

You can find that out by checking the changelog for the game. Go to your game library, click on the game, choose 'More', then Changelog. Not sure if it's different via Galaxy, but that works on the website.
GR00T I had not noticed the changelog option, maybe because it is inconsistent (some games don't have it). Thanks. This helps!

Yeah, I think some of the older titles don't have changelogs. I'm a little unclear on your original post though. Are you getting notifications for all your games even though there's no update? Or do you mean you have a number of games that are updated and you'd like the notification to go away once you check any one of the games?

Some newly updated games also have no changelogs. :-(

I'm sorry I wasn't clear. I admit I write some posts with my smartphone on the bus or while multitasking, to the detriment of clarity.
I would like
possibility 1: the notification to go away after I click on the red number on "library". But I guess this is not possible.
possibility 2: turn off notifications completely. I hope this can be done and I just can't find the correct way.
reason: I find it annoying, that I have to see the notification until I click on every game, because most of the times I really don't care about it.
I think in order to get the "notification" to go away, you have to go to the updated game(and if there are multiple games updated, to each of them), click on it and bring down the drop-down menu. Best done by clicked "updated games" to filter them out, then click on each one. Sometimes it might take a revisit and another click (checking the changelog is usually what I do and seems to be most efficient in getting the "update" to go away.) but, again, if multiple games are updated, you have to do it for each one

A game which has not had any substantive updates (or any updates) since library changelogs were introduced, or since you purchased it (whichever's later), won't have a changelog. Substantive updates include added game content, bug fixes, additional language support, added macOS or Linux versions, etc., and probably (I'm assuming, here) the addition of popular client-side features like achievements, cloud saving, and overlay; but not things like minor tweaks to how GOG packed the standalone installer, or to how the game interacts with Galaxy.

drealmer7: click on each one
Thank you but as I said before this is what I don't want to do anymore. :)
Thank you all. I am getting the idea that it's not possible to turn 'em off.

no I don't mean each game that you own, I mean each game that has a notification dot when you filter by "updated"

That's what I mean. Are you pulling my leg a little? That's my request. Is there a way not to be forced to click on each game that has an update to get rid of the notification? Or to disable notifications at all?
This is going nowhere so I'll just wait for a solution one day and try not to be too much bothered about it.

Don't say like that. Thanks for bringing this issue here. I've just realized it is irritating for me also, but for some reason I was just struggling with that feature in silence ;)

My own library is not so impressive, but - to be honest - I can't imagine anyone, who want to click each and every one of updates just to remove the notification. For me updates matter in case of titles I'm currently playing or games, which are new or keeps my attention for any other reason. For the rest of them there may be no notification at all.
I did not mean to sound rude. I thought I would close the thread but I seeing that I don't have that authorithy I changed the sentence into that. Maybe it sounded abrupt.
Yes, imagine how much I can care, for example, that some language I don't speak is added to a game I played 2 years ago. I'm really happy for those receiving the updates but it's not for me.
Gogrepo, updated only option will clear all update notifications in a few seconds.
Having to click on each game to clear the notification flag used to bother me a lot, back when I had about 100 of the things. I finally spent several minutes one day clearing them all, and now it's just one or three a week. Doesn't bother me anymore, I try to think of them as nice reminders of some of the depths of my library.
