Hey all... so... to preface, I live in the sticks and the best/only internet I can get is 3Mb down. The issue I'm running into is trying to download Baldur's Gate 3. I'm trying to download the offline installer, and at best its downloading at around 150-175kbps (half or less of what my connection will do on Steam - lowest I've seen it is 300-ish - usually pushing 400). So yes as bad as my internet is I'm used to it, and understand that 100+ Gb games can take a week or so to download (ask me how many times i've had to download Skyrim with hi-res assets or Fallout 4...... ). I've tried it through the Galaxy app. Over the span of 12 hours or so it will download approximately 14 gigs. However, if I pause it (to utilize the bandwidth for anything else) it won't resume from where it left off (or really, resume at all). If I close the app and re-launch it, it starts from 0. Doing the browser download method won't work either; eventually it's going to timeout. I'm in need of a download method that will actually support pausing/resuming. Short of giving a friend with gig internet my credentials and a USB drive to download for me, any suggestions?

Don't offline installers come in multiple files? Might increase your chances.

Does that happen both if you press the Install button, and if you try to download the offline installers from the Extras section?

I'm afraid based on your description, the download links expire after a while. You can try Free Download Manager if you can figure out how to pass cookies/login credentials, but I wouldn't expect different results.
So while my original issue was downloading the offline installer (wanted to do it this way after issues I had with installing Cyberpunk 2077, played it a bit then took a long break, and the install being corrupted after I came back to it), I DID do the online installer for BG3. After about 10 days it was done (not all at once as I did need to pause it every evening after work), and every time I go to play it I get a "data mismatch" error. While the game is technically playable, it's VERY unstable (assuming due to the potentially corrupt files). I've done as the pop-up troubleshooter suggested and cleared out some files and ran the GOG checker, downloaded some new data and still getting the data mismatch error.

As Renegade042 pointed out, it CAN be downloaded in multiple parts. Tedious though that seems I'm going to try it and see if re-installing from those will give me better results.
