I don't get it.

Are these games that are definitely coming to GOG?

Or alternatively, are these just random PC games, some/many of which may never come to GOG?

I was wondering the same thing. Some game from Gearbox with a steam logo at the end but nothing regarding GOG :-/

I really think this may perhaps be something of an overstated event, but I'll check the cliffnotes after.
A really BIG "Huh?" from me here.

What is the GOG's point to promote "the studios behind Risk of Rain 2, Darkest Dungeon 2, Vampire Survivors" if GOG HAS NOT these games in the offer ???

I love original Darkest Dungeon, I would like to have any chance for DD2 but GOG "says" no...
I assume the "i" in tripple i standds for indie? to be an "initiative" this is very low key, and explanation or statment of some sort ould have been helpful. I see gOg is an partner as well on their website, but many of the games are not to be found here so not sure what it is about, would be nice to if they did come over.

but, as a game showcase there are many good thiings in here, the announcement of Slay the spire 2 is wwelcomed, and I liked the new trailer for the sniper assassin update for Shadows of Doubt, good to see they are planning to leave early access at some point in near future
Got the mail from gog about the event 5 minutes after it was over lol.

It might be a dumb play on "AAA", in other words what some misguided curator would have picked as the "best of the indies" or games disguised as indies but are secretly being funded by massive conglomerates.

As a heads up, the first Slay the Spire game has been abandoned on GOG, it's several patches behind the Steam version.

Thanks for the heads up. Good thing I never bought that game since it is missing Achievements on GOG.

That comes as no surprise, that devs who treat GOG customers like second-class citizen in one way (i.e. missing Achievements) would subsequently go on to treat GOG customers like second-class citizens in additional ways too (i.e. missing patches).

Hopefully GOG curation will reject Slay the Spire 2 for both of those reasons, should it be offered to GOG in the future.

Teramage: Got the mail from GOG about the event 5 minutes after it was over lol.
Here in Australia, my receiving the email after the webcast, was similar.
Email timestamp 04:38am AEST (GMT/UTC +10)
The actual 45 minute webcast started at 03:17:10am AEST.
So the email was sent to me a bit over 40 minutes after the webcast had finished.

Looking at the comments on the video on YouTube, I've found a comment with a full list of timestamps, and games.
Comment by Y.Kulihala

Of the 37 games shown in this teaser/trailer dump, only 4 are saying they will be coming to GOG, and there's a few games in the list that are console only, and won't even be on Steam.
The 4 games that say they'll be on GOG, and their timestamps in the video:
27:47 - Cataclismo
30:15 - Endzone 2
38:35 - Broken Roads
50:35 - Old World: Beyond the Throne

I've taken the liberty of creating a wishlist entry for Slay the Spire 2:

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/slay_the_spire_2

I'm sure everybody in this thread will vote for it, and together we can help bring the game to GOG.
Slay the Spire 2 being a thing is cool. That Norland game is of interest, too. *nudges Hooded Horse*
