Fiance/Legal Planning Reporting Team Lead

Another needlessly wordy job title. I'd simply call it the Finance/Income & Corporate Operations. Or FICO for short.

Well, it's obviously in line with all the others

Removed: Technical Producer/Reverse Engineer.

Filled? Doubtful. The page is still there, the apply button still works. The form still works.
I worked in so many fields of IT, hired so many different roles but... what the hell is a reverse engineer?
This makes me think they do not have a clue of what they are doing nor looking for.

Someone who does reverse engineering, doh.

the person that makes things less useful with each new iteration. XD

A software developer who's given compiled binaries without the corresponding sources, or with sources that don't build, and figures out how to build something that does the same.

The job spec's still available, and given the list of experience includes "SecuROM, SafeDisc, Starforce, Denuvo", I'd guess the "reverse" part of this role is cracking old games. That's probably easier than getting a working build with an ancient compiler and no source control.

I think the role is kind of clear, but the way you name positions will make you fill, or not, that role.
I am more pointing my finger at the industry habit of naming roles so specifically, that they become just unappealing to potential candidates.

Well, as others have pointed out, in this case, they'd be the code monkey down in the trenches, breaking copy protection or otherwise trying to cleanroom fix & repair software with permission from their publisher to make them run on modern systems. Basically a lot of hex code and swearing.

I agree. I wonder if you will ever find someone willing to do this. As a job.

What do you think the Ship of Harkanian, OpenRCT2, Mario 64 source and several other projects are, if not enthusiastic products of passion? Plus all the various emulators?

Though, one of them was probably fobbed as a redundancy, and I await the clouds to part as a sign of the other being filled instead of folded.
W48 2023:

All job listings removed except for Technical Producer/Reverse Engineer.

Did GOG's attempt to pivot to Kubernetes completely flake off?

Who knows, I'd love to have such a thing communicated, but then they'd have to explain why they were attempting to pivot in the first place and in short, a manager would "The filthe of their foli aperith more, as the filthe of the hynd partis of an ape aperith more, whanne he stieth climbs on high."

I was quoting old English, from 1300 or so. It makes more sense than it does today.

That's not Old English; that's Middle English. Old English, Anglo-Saxon, can mostly only be understood today by Frisians, while Middle English is quite decipherable by English speakers today. And Sachys was simply giving your variant more suitable verb forms for climb. However, you did directly quote the Wycliffe bible...though badly...and used the verb he chose.

GOG is clearly looking for octogenarians, as every potion is senior.

The latter posting mentions PHP, which I understand has been massively on the downturn according to statistics scraped onto toast from github. Glad to see they're still chasing that white whale.
