These days I mostly enjoy Tower Defense Games. i.e., Bloons TD4, Kingdom Rusn Frontiers, Two Worlds II: Castle Defense.

Can anyone direct me to any such games in the Gog Library? It does not appear as a Genre.
Defender's Quest is a funny and beautiful tower defense, with RPG elements. :)

I highly recommend Defender's Quest too. One of the best tower defence games I played.

Other than that, if you don't mind games outside of GOG, try these suggestions here:

Thanks! I actually did a search for Tower Defense and nothing came up so I started this Thread. I went directly to that thread and bookmarked it. Lots of ideas and suggestions is just what I was looking for so thanks for pointing there. Cheers!

I love me some Tower Defense. I just did a little search on gog for a few TD games I own or am interested in with no luck. So these recommendations are not on gog unfortunately. Defense Grid 1&2 are fantastic. For a genre everyone says is so crowded, why are there no other TD games that come close to this series? Why? Ive searched far and wide and heres a couple that look interesting but nowhere near the quality of the DG series:

Dungeon Warfare: Im having a BLAST with this game. Instead of a grid you defend a dungeon and instead of towers you lay traps.

Anomaly: Warzone Earth: Tower defense in reverse! You are on offense for a change. Im having a decent time with this so far. <EDIT> This game IS on GOG.

Heres some that look promising that I picked up on sale but havent played yet:

Shepards Of The Abyss
Gemcraft: Chasing Shadows

Also, I really enjoyed Sang Froid, which is on GOG. It's not a pure tower defense, but a TD/FPS hybrid, but you might find it interesting too.

Thanks! Gonna check out DG 1&2 pronto. I'm really liking all the suggestions. Two Worlds: Caste Defense was fun but way too short. I've got my fingers crossed for Defender's Quest and these DG games for longer submersion times. Got my extended snorkel on and preparing to dive. Ta!

Heck yeah you can get lost in the world of DG. Make sure to have a bedpan and some snacks handy.

In my searches for more TD games Im finding a disturbing trend of phone games disguised as full blown pc games. You really have to read the reviews to find out sometimes although some are obvious from the screenshots or videos.
PixelJunk Monsters is a fun one.
Apart from Defenders Quest, the best TD games are unfortunately not on gOg.

If you do not mind looking elsewhere, I would recommend:

2D:
Creeper World series - https://knucklecracker.com/
GemCraft: Chasing Shadows - http://store.steampowered.com/app/296490/
Immortal Defense - http://store.steampowered.com/app/298360/

OTTTD - http://store.steampowered.com/app/312630/

3D:
Orcs Must Die - http://store.steampowered.com/app/102600/
Sanctum - http://store.steampowered.com/app/91600/

Online:
Cursed Treasure - http://www.kongregate.com/games/iriysoft/cursed-treasure-dont-touch-my-gems
Protector IV.V - http://www.kongregate.com/games/undefined/protector-iv-v
Creeper World 3: Abraxis - http://www.kongregate.com/games/whiteboardwar/creeper-world-3-abraxis
Desktop TD - http://www.kongregate.com/games/CasualCollective/desktop-td-pro
Bubble Tanks Tower Defense 1.5 - http://www.kongregate.com/games/HeroInteractive/bubble-tanks-td-1-5

Honourable mentions:
While not a TD game, I would also recommend Infested Planet here on gOg - https://www.gog.com/game/infested_planet. It is more action/strategy, but it borrows quite a lot from the TD genre.
I've played this and have this and... well i didn't feel very impressed by it... Been a while, i could pull it up if i have to.

I think it is similar to Kingdom Rush, but I prefered OTTTD. Fixed tower positions and heroes is not my preferred TD genres, but I enjoyed OTTTD to Kingdom Rush.... frankly I found it a bit boring and a bit over-rated.
OTTD really came across as a mobile port to me, there was just something about it that didnt quite feel right for PC. To me kingdom rush did the hero thing better as they're useful but not a vital mobile tower.

Most recent TD game I've played is an offgog title called kittypocalypse, roomscale VR game, that the devs have flatscreened recently and thats a seperate purchase. Might lose some of it's charm outside VR though.

Dungeon Defenders is another in the proactive subgenre of TDs alongside orcs must die and sanctum.

Deathtrap is a TD game that came as a spinoff from the van helsing devs and again more proactive but in the arpg style.

Revenge ot the titans is one I had fun with, not quite RTS but close(ish). Long time since I played it but I really like the puppygames aesthetic.

I thought defense grid 2 was the weaker of those games as it relied on rng for giving you access to tower upgrades and grinding an rng is only liked by those who have found favour with rngsus.

The problem with Dungeon Defenders is the focus on multiplayer, it is rather limited solo. I didn't like it very much, and can't recommend it.
TD is my most played genre, and it's usually on iOS with games like Kingdom Rush.
