Lin545: He started catching and eating dog (yes dog) and badger(yes, badger) livers and has defeated the cancer, shocking the doctors. I am not doctor, I have no idea how it worked and I give you my own word this is not some fantasy.
I think he just crazy'd the cancer away. :)

I recall he said that he tried to get something to work on his VITA for 4 hours straight because he ''couldn't let the machine win''. Noratings/10 cancer surviving attitude.

TheTome56: Never really liked him or any other of the 'angry' Youtube reviewers

But my heart goes out to him. This is a challenging time for him and I hope he gets all the support and treatment he can to help him through this.
He changed his style, he's not really part of the angry youtube reviewers anymore. I don't know if it was the cancer or just maturity, but he started taking quite a philosophical (and I suppose consumer focused) review attitude. He says in reviews and content updates that people don't particularly want to hear him complaining about a game, and started being more focused on delivering information to the viewers in order for us to make our own decision. It's why I really respect his reviews, they're not a judgement, they're an exploration with his own view added.

I actually stumbled on the announcement before seeing this thread, I've been watching (and really enjoying) his shoutcraft starcraft casts recently, and I tend to watch one in the evenings. Today of course the default top link I click on google was displaced by his post. I was really upset to read it, more so than I thought I would be.
Fuck !
I don't know who he is, but that really sucks for anyone.

tort1234: Watch and listen to his Wow guide video. He mentions my point made above.
Link, please.
I can't just take your word that TB said horrible stuff like "bastard child" about Orion. Nope.

He said "illegitimate kid" which is a noun for bastard child or a child born outside of marriage.

The video is Wow video with title "strong language" in it.

Its in the list above. He does say that he has a relationship of convenience where he gets sex and job support from his wife and she gets to enjoy his money and status. And they are okay with it.

As somebody that's narrowly escaped death on more than a few occasions, it's really tough to get too wound up by things after that. There's serious neurological changes that happen when the brain is deprived of oxygen or you've been put under that level of stress.

I think it's unnatural to come close to death and not consider how one's lived and how one wishes one had lived.

PimPamPet: Rather than getting into an opinionated debate about individual lifestyle choices, I think we can all agree that nobody deserves cancer and this disease needs to get eradicated.
I doubt cancer will ever get "eradicated" simply because it's not a virus for which a vaccine can be developed, it's simply cells growing out of control, it's not so much a "disease" as it's a side effect of being a biological organism. HIV being eradicated is much more realistic goal.

lol you're linking to a list of 100+ 3 hour podcasts. Link the actual video please.
Terrible news. I'm not a fan but I wish him the best and hope he can stay strong and keep doing what he does for as long as he can.

Yeah, and there is more than one with WoW and strong language in that list.
I believe that guy either didn't get a joke TB made or is otherwise confused.

And while "illegitimate child" still isn't a really nice thing to say it's still more of a factual statement than the offensive "bastard child". I'm pretty shocked that somebody would still use that term in relation to a real child.

Here he's tweet

"Well, I don't know if there is really a right way to tell people this, so I guess here goes. The CT did not come back negative. The cancer in the bowel is gone, but spots have appeared in my liver. They're not operable and there's no cure. Average life expectancy is 2-3 years, though there are outliers that live much longer. I'll be back on chemo in a few weeks, with the goal of pushing it back and keeping it there for as long as possible. I fully intend to be the outlier, the average is this way because most people that get this are old and not strong anymore. Who knows what they'll come up with in the next decade? I intend to beat it for as long as possible. Gonna need some time to process all of this. I don't really feel anything right now. Thanks."

hope he pulls through. I remember my uncle having cancer. :(
Both my dad and mom got cancer and passed away. No one else but family and friends gave a fuck. No one on the internet wrote about it. No newspaper wrote about it. So why should I care?

EDIT: Removed some unnecessary details.
