cw8: I'm still waiting for Medieval 3 though.
Fenixp: Can you see the sieges of massive medieval cities with multiple layers of walls and defences?
Yeah, won't be there.
I dunno, I'm kind of glad Creative Assembly is testing new waters - they outdid themselves in the older Total War games, but as far as I'm concerned, everything up from Shogun II they already did better before (admittedly, that's like 3 games). The last game I have really enjoyed from Total War series was Napoleon, because it was a polished take on Empire - and Empire was a very pleasant change from previous Total War games, portraying american revolution (napoleonic) era so damn well. So they're doing it now again, trying things not seen before in Total War games - I won't complain.
They did awesome in Medieval 2. Had a few epic battles on Constantinople alone, both defending and sieging its famed triple walls which is featured in Medieval 2:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcOmumarcXY It was glorious in Med 2, probably even better if they did Med 3 and got all the bugs and AI sorted out. Hopefully not like the horrible Rome 2 at launch.
Glad they're going the Warhammer route, I liked King Arthur series, maybe incorporate some of the gameplay elements from there into Warhammer TW. Also, would really like to see a China: Total War at some point in the future. In the meantime, I'll still wait for Medieval 3 since Medieval is my favourite of the TWs.
