If I want Numenera book, i'll preorder it.
Nearly forgot to back it. Now it's done (humble 25$).
Thanks to the Necromancer's thread that made me remember to back it.

Can one backer change the future of more-than-a-game ?

Depends. Which t-shirt will you be wearing in public? The blue or the black one?

Blue tide : reason, insight & wisdom ... and there is no black tide.
And from my undertstanding, I won't get the t-shirt (standard digital tier, and not much into goodies) ... but I would recommend the blue one, the black one makes no sense at all !
I think I've already posted on this thread before, but I'll do it again. It's been interesting seeing how much money this kickstarter has been raising, although now I'm wondering if there'll be any more stretch goals after $4.5 million. Achieving $1.2 million in 3 days is no rare feat (Star Citizen raised what I think is over $1 million in its final 24 hours), but will there be any more stretch goals after that.

From what I understand, the goals past 3.5M are not soooo jaw dropping (the goals past 4.5M are an even least concern in my opinion).

Oasis of Mra Jolios is definintely a jaw dropping goal. I love big cities, and I can't imagine this Kickstarter not reaching this goal.

I agree that big cities are great (even if my phrasing sounds stupid). What I meant is that past 3.5M, goals seem more 'content oriented' than 'design oriented'. I keep my distance from projects I backed to not spoil my future experience, so knowing next to nothing of the game, I favor design over content.

I hope I'm clear :)

Reever: Would you guys like to share if you've already pledged and how much? (might be I missed your posts, but don't have the time to read through the whole thread :P).
125$... and thinking really hard about the 8$ Pat Rothfuss comic book. Maybe going to drop to a lower tier so I can afford it.
They've posted an updated video of their Unity test, this time in 1080p (in case you have a monitor with high enough resolution, unlike me).

You guys are really crazy, but the if the first game really is as good as it is said and this 2nd game will be as good as described, it's worth it =)
And lol, will be crazy to see your names on tombstones in the game and/or in the credits :D

Whitecroc: 113$, 95$ + 18$ shipping. I'm on a student's budget and really can't afford this (although with currency exchange rates being what they are, this is only slightly more expensive than a new console game), but Planescape: Torment is the most important game I've played in my life, and I want to see its spiritual successor have at least a chance at succeeding.
I'm on a student's budget as well, so I'll probably only get the 28$ tier...

I think I'll stick with the 28$ one and add 4$ for the concept art and art book. Even though those might be available separately anyway...but still, don't even know who the guy is (excuse my ignorance) and even though I enjoy comics accompanying games, I can do without them =)

So if donate per Paypal and put in 32$, will they know which add-on I want? Or do we have to choose them after kickstarter is over? (think there was a description in there, will read it again anyway. Just wanted to be sure :D).

GameRager: As long as those games get released elsewhere after the initial drop(to KS backers) i'll be happy.
avatar
JMich: You mean like on GOG?
GOG, the developer's own sites, various bundles, etc....I don't really care where they drop as long as they are: 1. Reasonably priced, and 2. DRM-free.
avatar
yyahoo: inXile just confirmed in their latest update that they've discussed it with GOG and Torment will officially be on GOG (along with Wasteland 2).
avatar
MorphysLaw: Yes. Yes. Very good news.
*Happy dance time*

(I am backing Torment, but I couldn't afford to add a copy of WL2 to my pledge tier. As such, I am glad i'll be able to buy WL2 from GOG further down the line.)

POLE7645: Figured that I'd get the extras through the store they'll open (being on a tight budget and all).
I hope they'll sell some of the digital extras later on(The only ones I can't get right now are the CoreBook/SourceBook/Player's Guide[Can't afford the tiers they are in.] & the new digital comic.).....I could only afford so much on my budget.

Lengthy and interesting interview with Fargo at PC Gamer.
