I don't think I've ever bought a game on GoG that CAME with a free game before. Torment: Tides of Numenera comes with Lords of Xulima if you preorder it. I've wanted Torment since I don't even know when... So I figured why not pre order and enjoy an extra game eh?
Only I have no idea how any of this works... How does one get the free game? Does it not show up until Torment comes out? That seems a little crazy. I'll be too busy to play that by then! Or do I buy it and it applies a discount?
Sorry if this is one of those stupid people questions that everyone knows. I just didn't see any information regarding it on the forums at all...

You get a code in the Torment library page. You get Torment in your library, but the download links will be non-existent.
So yes, you will be able to play Lords of Xulima until Torment arrives :)

Torment library page -> More -> Serial Keys

The code for the free game should be there.
Aha! Thank you guys. I appreciate it!
Yes, but look at the price of Torment, thats like buying a car to get a free wheel cap - even worse if you already paid for LoX, maybe they should think about giving a free copy of Torment to those who brought LoX?
Wait...TWO marked answers?
...
How'd you do that?
you know, lords of xulima is a pretty decent game that's a bit rng heavy sometimes but it's the narrator of the intro that really does it for me... "LORDS OF... SHOE-LEEMA"

No idea. I'm in the galaxy client, and it's a little buggy sometimes on the forums.
I've literally only posted what, 3 times now? and it's been iffy each time. They both answered it, I clicked them both, and it worked.

As an aside, for anyone else lost in this, it doesn't work from the galaxy client. You have to go to the website in your browser and follow the instructions. Unless I'm missing something.

As to why I bought it, it wasn't because of the free game. I was planning on buying it when it came out, I generally prefer NOT to preorder 'cos it invariably goes wrong... But you know.. Sometimes you just have to trust your heart and do stupid things.

Meh, I effectively pre-ordered long ago by backing it on Kickstarter. But I really enjoyed Wasteland 2, so don't have too many worries about this one.

I wanted to do that as well, but I was flat freaking broke that entire kickstarter. Glad it got the support it needed though. It looks fantastic, and Planescape was and still is one of my favorite games and stories of all time. So I'm pretty sure this is going to be one time I'm okay to pre order.

same here, and I got a copy of Wasteland 2 for backing Torment which is pretty sweet (and I'm JUST about finished with it!)

The Wasteland 2 DC has me worried SLIGHTLY about Torment in that the "feel" of the DC is much worse than the feel of the original, and I believe that is due to them porting it, and they made consoles a thing for Torment, sooo, blehhh...slightly worried about that.

Could you explain what you mean by that? I've yet to play W2, and I don't think there's much choice but the DC at this point (?)

I think you still can play the original. I have started a game before the DC and was halfway through, and still intend to continue the same game... when I'm in the mood for W2 again.

You should have both in your library, so it's just a matter of installing the original.
