I also want to play this one - even though I haven't played first two in the series and Torchlight 3 looks a bit gay.

i love'd super marios 3 back in the day
I was hyped for a second until I saw the Perfect World logo in the trailer and read that :

Torchlight Frontiers combines the heart of the beloved Torchlight series with a shared, persistent and dynamically generated world.

So most likely an always online F2P... :(

I didn't pick up on that.

Keeping hope alive, but if this turns out to be the case then fuck em; I'll go play Grim Dawn.

You are too young to appreciate how hot that once was. :P

Olivia Newton John, roller skates, Lets Get Physical.

Oh man!
Meh. Looks like Torchlight 2, but more ... generic.
So, I go to torchlightfrontiers.com and click on "Learn more" which takes me to EchtraGames.com, where I click on "Learn more" and it takes me right back to torchlightfrontiers.com. Seems you can't "learn more"!

So... this is now a game about laying cart tracks? Alright, I can live with that. Even better if they manage to release an offline version or allow for offline play without a required account, regardless of whether or not they heavily advertise online play and prefer that we use it, I'm fine with jumping through hoops to get it offline, as long as they let me do it at all.
It's not Torchlight 3. The developers were at Gamescom and said they intentionally didn't call it that but Torchlight Frontiers instead because it's more of an MMORPG unlike the previous two games and didn't want the playerbase to get angry expecting Torchlight 3.
