tinyE: According to WIKI:

An AAA game (usually pronounced "triple A game") is an informal classification used for video games with the highest development budgets and levels of promotion. AAA game development is associated with high economic risk, with high levels of sales required to obtain profitability.

Now what the hell that has to do with a game being casual or not is totally beyond me. XD

Cifer84: I'm discussing with Einstein here, I see. Casual costs a buck, AAA costs some millions. You see? But quality matters, not the budget.
but quality is subjective.

You know what the highest selling game of all time is? Tetris. I don't know about you, but when I think of big budget, I think of Tetris. :P

You know what the second highest selling game of all time is? Mincecraft.

Again, BIG BUDGET! XD My god, the billions they must have spent on just background design alone is too much to comprehend, not to mention those jaw dropping graphics and character design. State of the art to be sure and AAA to the max! :P

I'm missing quite a few on here actually.

Breja: Actually, there are not nearly enough indie games on GOG. There's plenty out there I'd love to see get a GOG release.
Any ones in particular? What worries me a lot about indie games is that due to their sheer number a lot of good ones pass underneath my radar :P
Thinking of ones myself that I think would make a great addition here I'm only coming up with : Gunpoint and perhaps Rimworld.
Using 2010 as the completely arbitrary cutoff for what constitutes "old", here is the list of all old games released on GOG so far in 2017:

Pizza Tycoon
Pizza Tycoon 2
Sea Dogs: City of Abandoned Ships
Ignition
Tachyon: The Fringe
Ceville (re-added to the catalogue after having been removed)
Lost Eden
Imperium Galactica II: Alliances (port of a mobile version?)
SWAT 4: Gold Edition
Constructor (since renamed Constructor Classic 1997) (re-added to the catalogue after having been removed)
Freddy Pharkas: Frontier Pharmacist
Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom
Caesar
Caesar II
Dear Esther: Landmark Edition (remaster) (borderline case, as the original mod was from ca. 2008, while the first standalone commercial version released in 2012)
The Colonel's Bequest
The Dagger of Amon Ra
Hidden & Dangerous Action Pack
Hidden & Dangerous 2: Courage Under Fire
The Adventures of Willy Beamish
Turok 2: Seeds of Evil (remaster)
Army Men RTS
Delta Force
Delta Force 2
Delta Force: Land Warrior
Delta Force: Task Force Dagger
Delta Force: Black Hawk Down Platinum Pack
Delta Force Xtreme
Pray for Death
Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition (remaster) (borderline case, as it replaced [but still includes a separate copy of] the "classic" Planescape: Torment)
Codename: ICEMAN
SpellForce 2 - Anniversary Edition (remaster) (borderline case, as it replaced the games whose content it contains [Spellforce 2: Shadow Wars & Spellforce 2: Dragon Storm])
Full Throttle Remastered (remaster)
de Blob (remaster?)
Conquests of Camelot: The Search for the Grail
Conquests of the Longbow: The Legend of Robin Hood
Empires: Dawn of the Modern World
Throne of Darkness
Metal Slug
Metal Slug 2
Metal Slug 3
Metal Slug X
Fatal Fury Special
Samurai Shodown 2
Samurai Shodown V Special
The King of Fighters 2000
The King of Fighters 2002
The Last Blade
Blazing Star
Baseball Stars 2
Shock Troopers
Twinkle Star Sprites
King of the Monsters
Lock's Quest (remaster)
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition Deluxe
Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition
Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap (remaster/remake) (borderline case, as it's probably closer to a full-on remake than to a remaster, but it CAN be played with the original's graphics & sound, so I counted it)
Homeworld: Emergence
Tender Loving Care
Mob Rule Classic (re-added to the catalogue after having been removed [as Mob Rule])

Cifer84: Nothing against indie games, some are very awesome and creative. I just feel there are too many indie games on GOG. The focus should be on bringing GOOD OLD GAMES on GOG, the focus should not be on bringing new indie games to GOG. Of course we can have both, but indie games shouldn't take the focus away from bringing the old games back.
Other people have already covered most of the reasons why they don't bring out more old games here, but I might as well link my explanation, as usual. :)

All I want is for the OP to define "Quality" and then I'll shut up. :D
Sometimes it's just not clear why an old game is not on GOG, like "Mortal Kombat Trilogy". The rights has Warner Bros, they gave MK1-3 to GOG, technical no problem and it's a popular (= profitable) series.

Just compare a masterpiece like "Thief (1998)" with a random mobile game 20 years later, then you see that the game medium is regressing. With mobile games we can agree what casual means, indie is more ambigious. Or the Wii U, a failed console, because Nintendo pushed casual games and neglected the core gamers.

Highest quality: "Thief Gold"! Here on GOG! Buy it! Now!

I'm just joking.

You obviously can't or won't answer the question so I'm going to drop it. There is no way I or myself is going to win an argument with you given how you avoid and or ignore the points made against you, so this is kind of stupid going back and forth. Best I just stop.

The fact you have your own weird interpretation of the terms changes nothing. It's the budget that decides whether a game is AAA not it's "casual" or "hardcore" nature. Also, "casual" does not describe quality, even for you it has a negative connotation. A game can be casual and be good. It's like mixing up what describes the food's nutritional value with what describes it's taste. It's hard to have a conversation with someone who cannot use key words properly.
low rated

You seem to have a very low I.Q. and way too much time, so don't tell me about how to use words properly, you low-life moron.

You are just a troll, so I won't bother anymore. Go out of mommys house and breathe some fresh air.

Kevin and the Infamous Machine
Midnight at the Celestial Palace
Viking Squad
Milkmaid of the Milky Way
Life Goes On
The Yawgh
Warlock of Firetop Mountain
The Edgelands

Mind you, those are games I have not played, I just think they look good and interesting. Have I already bought them (and some of them are available DRM-Free) I wouldn't much care about GOG getting them anymore.
Sadly this will not be released on Gog . :(
