Ich will TES VI to be announced so that people can move on.

With whole due respect, I have enough of Skyrim. :) I played the game for more than 200 hours and I'm very tired with the formula. It's hard for me to get excited even with Starfield and TES6, as I suspect these will be very similar in gameplay to Skyrim. How many times will they try to sell (successfully!) the same game? Of course I have nothing against the release of it on GOG. I still think it's a great piece of computer entertainment, but I'm so tired of it unfortunately... So tired...

We're in a world where the "usual formulas" sell like hot cakes. FIFA, CoD...
But yes, I agree with you - I'm so fed up by the formula as well. I prefer more focused games now, bigger ain't necessary better.

Alexim: Bethesda, Bethesda never changes.
Actually, they did changed in the past, so the correct would be:

"Bethesda... Bethesda has changed." - 'Old Snake's voice'
Fallacy!, all days are the same size, everyone knows that...

TheCleaner517: You know what I am talking about.
No, I don't.

TheCleaner517: Edit: I'll even go one better. We get number 4 as well. You know what I'm talking about. Being hopeful anyway!
Still don't.

I'm really only waiting for the release of Gestalt (maybe I shouldn't, my info is a year old) and a discount on Rimworld. I don't know what else is new, GOG's catalog is very unpleasant to go through these days.

Maybe the catalog upgrade will be rolled out to the general audience. It'd be nice.

Big and good is better, but it's also that much harder to make.
Or I guess it depends on whether you prefer to play through a story or experience a world. When done really well, you get both. But TES games tend to mainly do the latter.

fortune_p_dawg: it makes me sad but i think scpm is likely right on this one. :-(

karnak1: Dang!... So, it's not Sk1yr11!m then :(
sadly not.
Skyrim Veteran Edition.
"NOTHING! YOU GET NOTHING!" - Drew Scanlon and originally Willy Wonka I learned recently

we don't even have the Quake Update here yet. But we did get EYE here today which is nice

Another Skyrim thread? Skyrim is highly unlikely to ever come here being tied very much to beths. And even if it did come here you would end up with a drm’d product or a crippled version as modding is now mostly locked behind beths creation club. So supporting drm free and wanting Skyrim are mutually opposite standpoints.

Call me anathema then, because I still want both: a DRM-free Skyrim with external modding support :P. Wanting the unlikely (if not impossible) is never a standpoint, but a dream.

But I agree with you that most likely, if we get anything, it will be Skyrim "Aquarium Edition" with 0 modability.

I mean if there is even in this post hyped people about the same game released on a different platform 10 years straight, there is no surprise that Todd is milking. If I were him I would do the same thing, to be honest.

External modding support will be there, it’s just that a lot of the kids will be hidden behind creation club. A lot were removed from nexus due to monetisation of mods and creation club.
I also note that there are some issues with SKSE, so it may be a little while before available mods work with the new version.
As someone who never do mods, even an official collection of mods like this doesn't appeal to me...and to such thing have a price tag...I just laugh and stop thinking about it in a minute.
Still have to go through previous DLC stuff and my guess is that covers the time frame until TES6 for me.
