I've just learnt that Tomb Raider II remake demo is out.

I'm on Linux so I will test the game some other time ; )

random gameplay
son of a bitch i bet my system won't run it

#2 is the best in the series.

WAIT, it's fan made. Maybe it will work.

8GB RAM strongly recommended

Seems to be even more resource demanding than the reboot.

The demo only allows 1980x1080

That is what is killing me.
son of a bitch! I've got to have this!
(sorry tinyE not copying you I swear - s.o.b was genuinely my first reaction when I saw the gameplay footage of the first level)
Can't wait to see what they do with Venice and the motorboat
My laptop would burst to flames while trying to play that. Looks like hell of a job, though level design seems to need some work and there are no enemies, still rocks :)
Sadly the development will be stopped by the copyright owner. I see it coming. :(

Kind of wondering how that hasn't happened yet.

It's always the same. The copyright owner waits until the fan project is almost finished and the sues the developers and forces them to stop it. Then the copyright owner brings his own remake on the market which is much worse than the fan project.

I think the copyright owners see fan projects and it's followers as indicators if a remake of a game is profitable. When the game is already in advanced development it gets more famous and you can make a better forecast.

Also it actually helps up the demand for a remake. People get fired up for the fan remake, then when they hear it's not happening they want it even more (that's just how our brains seem to work).
Looks great, just out of place given how much more "story" and cutscenes I believe the reboot has.

Oh darn. It's pretty evil, but they have rights to do it. I wish the money was not the most important factor in the gaming industry.

Thank you for the accurate statements! Now i know i have to check it out, too! Especially your first sentence, is so much true!
It's looking rather obvious we're never going to see another Tomb Raider game here. Downloaded, and hope Square-ENIX don't become jerks over this.
I kinda don't understand why is he/she/them doing it. Clearly they will be stopped by the copyright owner and the potential of the demo will be lost. Maybe they should have made adventures of Clara Loft? Or something like that?
