For example i never heard expressions like "Russian people", everyone just say "Russians".

2. A "joke" that contains hate speech (for example) does, indeed, have victims. In fact, any "joke" make at somebody else's expense has a victim.

See? That's the problem these days. If you can't even make a joke (like a "Ostfriesenwitz" or "Blondinenwitz" - jokes about blonde women who're not very smart) without leaving "victims" beind, you know that the planet is fucked!

Smart blonde women exist. Lisa Randall, for instance, is a smart theoretical physicist. Also, J.K. Rowling, an author who you have probably heard of.

Would that also mean that there will be consequences when your non-negotiable rules will be loopholed, abused, bypassed, turned against innocent users while you would yourself get manipulated and puppeted by the veteran trouble makers and trolls who (i dont doubt about that) are rejoycing and very happy/eager about your upcoming rules as they already know how much fun it will be for them to use them and you as a better way to bully folks here while keeping their hands not dirty as they will be using gog staff as proxies for doing their usual job ?

What was the point of hiring a "community specialist" by Gog in the first place if they can't make forum users happy ????

Gog advertised for the "community specialist" position so much, gave people hope that they would hire someone from within the community, asked people to send their resumes.......only to hire someone who was already in Poland and was never part of the Gog forum.


Fables said that rep means nothing in the long run....they why not just get rid of it, OR atleast allow the users to post links to youtube etc if they are in the negative rep due to troll abuse.


Negative rep does not allow people to post links is a big problem.

You can still post links as a quote, just a pain in the arse.

Amazingly, GOG blocked URL shorteners not all that long ago to prevent prevent people bypassing the "no posting links because you're negative rep" punitive measure.

So they obviously love and support this broken feature and can be proactive when it suits them.

And it's not just posting links, other users can get posts and entire threads deleted by low rating and spam reporting.

But hey GOG, ignore all this and focus on a few individuals who are butthurt because they keep whining to you.
