I've had that happen to me very recently. Dude blocked me on Facebook. It happened twice before, but it looks like it's permanent this time. The previous times he re-added me, I tried to avoid anything that might have been even slightly unpleasant. If I did or said something objectionable, I would have been willing to talk it out. Interestingly enough, he went on and on about "loyalty". I figured something bad happened for him to complain about it, but I didn't pry. I still don't know what that means...but it looks like he might have a different definition of the word. This might be the nail in the coffin for my social life, as I find myself withdrawing from people more.

I think my problem was that since I'm very selective with who I am friends with, I find myself perhaps being a bit overbearing and wanting more attention from people I like, which I feel comes across as making myself a center of attention without actually showing interest in the people I do like. Though, in this case, I backed off hoping they would try to contact me of their own volition. Four months later and nothing, so the friendship has ended as far as I'm concerned.

I was talking about the board in general. It's either filled with forum games or complaining about GOG. Once in a blue moon, someone or I will post something about game mechanics or whatever and that's something I can comment on, but I have noticed dtgreene has slowed down considerably compared to when I first started here a year ago. I actually do appreciate your threads even if they're kinda dumb just because it's not the usual fare. Hell, I like to post dumb stuff too just to shake things up.

During the many years here I've met so many good people around here. I'm also not around very often anymore so I'm not even sure who went missing recently. The longest time gone that I remember are Thespian* and IAmSinistar.

Missing reading Fairfox and Orkhepaj around here too, both of them were funny and quirky in their own way. Also zeogold, finkleroy and many others who who left their mark here and contributed to making the forum a special place. To absent friends!

Two users with perma "low rated" stopped posting not long after minus button removal... Even stranger that if I remember correctly Orkhepaj was initially enthusiastic about the change. Guess either banhammer or they come to realize posting makes no sense without this badge of honor.

The perma low ratings must have been done by a malicious GOG user who programmed bots which low rate all posts by specific users instantly & automatically and for the rest of eternity, with no further input from that malicious GOG user required after they had initially programmed the bots to target specific users once.

I know that for sure because I was one of the targeted users, and sometimes the GOG website glitches, and that happened a few weeks ago (in December 2022), and as a result of the glitch, the orange "low rated" text briefly appeared on one of my posts less than a minute after I'd posted it, even though all the low rating buttons are now invisible.

So that tells me the bot scripts are still active against the users who they used to target, and it also tells me that the bot programmer doesn't even need to make the bots press the formerly visible low rating button in order to have their bots get low ratings onto the posts.

You can check rep in My Settings on forum. If it goes down means bots are working and solution is only cosmetic. The "low rated" appearance nowadays is very rare though (I don't think I seen it in months) and always disappears quickly which looks like glitch to me.
