aDyingLight: "You talk about starving families but also 'helping companies'. I assume these are different endeavors you tried?"
>>yes, in different moments. i just tried to gather the knowledge and logic from the market into providing a self sustainable model through which this 2.5 enterprise could make a real difference, both influencing companies under our control so they were quite a lot more 'humane' as well as making NGOs a tad more committed, so others wouldn't have to pass through the difficulties i had in helping people via those institutions.

"The motivation is to help others."

>>the motivation is shifting reality, Time.
the current model is deranging into a dystopian society, and it's already clear to everyone how bad this can be. not from literature, not from pop culture, but in their own houses and relationships. we must act. now.
Tbh, all of this sounds very vague and unfocused. You are not going to be able to fix all of society's ills. It's too ambitious and it isn't even slightly realistic. You can't personally wage a war on multiple fronts like that, all at once.

I admit I haven't got any experience of trying to run a charity (I'm sure it's extremely challenging), but from what you say, it seems to me that you need to narrow your focus. Pick one social issue that you are passionate about and focus your efforts on that. Even the largest charities in the world (Oxfam, UNICEF, etc.) have a focused mission (eradicating poverty, supporting children). Bill Gates has literally billions of dollars and he and his foundation still focus on specific issues to target.

If those extremely powerful organizations can't tackle all of society's ills, there is no chance in a million years that you can. The best you can hope for is to focus on one issue and maybe you might end up being able to move the needle a little bit on that one. Which might still be very worthwhile, especially for those that it helps. But, trying to 'fix society' ... it's a bit like the US government saying they are going to go and wage a war on 'terrorism'. Yeah! Let's go an wage a war on that ... abstract concept ...

"Hang on ... what country does Terrorism live in again?" ;-)

aDyingLight: and yes, i'm aware, you don't believe in such things. please think again. you're the one running a boycott on CDPR. you don't have the right to be hopeless for a needed systemic change.
Yes, I started a boycott on GOG and I am doing what I advised you to do above: focusing on one specific issue, which I care about and I think is worth spending (a little bit) of my time and energy on. It's one issue affecting one web store that I buy video games from and I think there is a chance that, if enough others feel a similar way, we might be able to make a small difference. But, I'm not going to invest myself in it too much emotionally, because it might not end up achieving anything. If it doesn't ... at least we tried. And at least I am making a difference in my own behavior and not supporting what I see as questionable business practices.

aDyingLight: "best advise I can provide is to start now because these fears are driving you to be less confident in your ability to achieve your goal."

>>precisely. and this is what i'm trying, here, 'coz i really don't know what else i could possibly do.

"Do not say you cannot, there is nothing stopping you except yourself and your thoughts."

>>lack of money? lack of friends to rely on? lack of a realistic plan? lack of trust? lack of a caring Love? i even thought on streaming and tell the world about the project... my laptop is a 6 years dying machine, i'm learning streaming does require two well oiled rigs, my now apparent lack of confidence may compromise my possible audience...

and now i'm on the 40's it's evident i'm not able for any job.
40 being the cutoff point, guys, Life expectancy being of 70/80 years. as you can tell, my CV may tell a thing or two.

i really don't know what to do.
lack of money for what? Not bashing you just asking. Can you pay the bills, have food, shelter, and water? that is a great start if you have all necessary needs.

lack of realistic plan: do not try to have a full plan right now, as I said before try to create a small goal that you want to complete first and then continue to have one or multiple short goals you want to achieve. No need to think of a full future since doing it all at once is impossible. Start small.

Your in 40s and believe that is cutoff point. I saw small streamers who were 40 or older and had a pretty well audience talking about life in general and giving advice to young and old lads who had a lot of support.

I cannot tell you what to do since I am not in your shoes. I am glad you are starting to get hope and share that hope with others. Take your time and rest as much as you need it because usually some time off alone or with others helps give you back strength and do not put much stress on your mind physical and mentally. Do not stress yourself with trying to reply every post since it takes energy out from you. Try to lay back or as most people said, to get some fresh air in your system and just admire the nature and scenic views that you might have around you.

aDyingLight: my bet was, after proving them [the people] that together, REALLY putting our best efforts in our own sake, letting the entire pack of lies aside, we could build the welfare non-state we need in order to SURVIVE. we are already in times of survival, and it's not because of the covid, the covid is just another step towards absolute control. and no, i'm not automatically aligned to conspiracionist bs, i did my research in order to understand what's going on with the world and what we could reasonably do towards making something, anything about it. it seems i've failed to find 'neutral' people, aware of this situation and able to work our way around it, in an orderly, truly democratic manner.
I'm not sure what you mean. I've lost my grandmother to this, but more surprisingly, my girlfriend, who is an LPN, almost died of it and her sense of smell barely works to this day, and she was infected back in December. I understand and can see that the virus is obviously being used for control, but on the other hand it's also very real and very dangerous, especially to people in high risk occupations where they're likely to get a high viral load prior to becomming symptomatic (seems to be the highest predictor of mortality). There is empirical evidence of both exploitation of the disease as well as danger from the disease, so this is a particularly hard issue to move your average person on, because most people cling to an opinion once they have one if it's really, really important to their worldview. With an issue like this, it's important to show people that their legitimate concerns are real while disagreeing with them (IE. If you oppose lockdowns, point out COVID is real prior to criticizing the lockdowns by demonstrating they're ineffecive, and how they actually make covid infections themselves more deadly, which is something that no one discusses).
i ask myself if there's a limit for people's tolerance. china proves there's none. brazil proves there's none. and i'm ultimately convincing myself it's just not worth my efforts, which in conclusion makes me this sad. yes, i can't Live in a world like this, and i am shouting out loud so if there's a single like-minded soul able to help, please do so, so we may have a chance together.
I don't know what you mean by China and brazil proving there is no limit for tolerance.
which is why i [also failed in trying] tried to gather some game makers and build ourselves a way out of this. is this my last attempt? all tells it so.
Would be easier to start alone and make some basic projects that attact attention of other devs. Most coders are proud and seeking solitude from my own experience. They need an incentive to break away from that.
that's another reason why i also incorporated the anti-cloud mindset, fighting against online-only/games-as-a-service, ultimately any mandatory streaming-only model or anything remotely controlled. but... gamers won't mind it, the corrupted industry proving they'll do anything they want, gamers will support.
From a practical outlook, most games cannot function with that model. No one takes Stadia seriously, or playstation Now's streamed games. Sony had to change things so that some games could run on the PS4 instead of being streamed, because streaming games doesn't work. It's obvious to nearly everyone i talk to that always-online and such is a scam and not healthy. The thing is, people don't see viable alternatives to their AAA favorites, which means they must be built.
altruism would suffice. altruism would save us all...

...

in the end, conding skills would help understanding the way everything's deranging. but as you said, some political interest is needed, and since politics is also corrupted along everything else, altruism was my bet.
Specifically, i don't mean in general, but for the issue i mentioned. There's a movement right now towards making coders get licenses to code just like doctors need licenses to practice. However, you must both be aware of coding practices a well as have your ear to the ground in politics to see that this movement is forming. It's coming under the name of "security." Google recently changed how android works which restricts apps like Termux from allowing to develop android apps on android devices w/o the use of a computer. Only older devices can continue this process.
i'm failing to do, eihter. that's why i am here, asking for help...
If people are truly receptive, it should be easy. What kind of problems are you having?
i didn't. i only buy games that are complete, of course they are mostly years old, i refuse to give away real Life info to any 'service' out there, no credit card is stored in any store [despite the inconvenience], i refuse to support greedy companies, i tell everyone my practices and now they make sense to them - finally, after the CDPR bubble, people are waking.
You blind innocent soul. Do you have a job? Do you have a 401K or money in any stocks? If so, there's where you contribute the most. This is where the talking is, not purchases. No one buys a game? It's blamed on gamers. Company violates a certain "wide practice" policy, and it's the company's fault, even if the sale go up.
let's pick this one: Steam's my major platform, i do not own consoles, galaxy's not an option, nor any other one [origin and uplay in mind]. at the early stages of covid, i offered to be a game partner for the ones suffering from isolation. had two or three sessions out of it, despite my efforts and commitment in being online, ready to play the other person's favorite titles!
These posts were saturating most major platforms, so i'm guessing your case here was a saturation issue. It's likle putting a game-changing game on itch.io. No one's going to notice it.
once i asked for more people to join, one told me it looked like a job.
Probably your wording or any "requirements" you posted.
the other day i noticed quite a few people interested in playing 'x' game [Need for Speed Rivals/Hot Pursuit, Insane 2, Carmageddon Max Damage and Vector Thrust, to name a few], so i announced that at day 'y', 'z' time i'd be hosting. no one showed up. for 2 or 3 weekends, varied times.
Well, was the timezone specified? What time were they? Were there any other games going on at that time? How saturated were the steam boards that you were talking on? How many people were actually reading those boards?
once i found a bunch of guys and finally we got regular in playing Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 [which is not a problem finding sessions for], the former being interesting: despite my ping being a tad high for them and Vegas 2 being stale network-wise, sometimes people would wait in queue just to play in sessions i was hosting, they liking my play style and friendliness. now Vegas 2 is dead [yes, I HATE corporate server based gaming!], and... well, i like to play other genres, too.
So you're relying on a reputation that you have in 1 game, but doesn't exist in communities in other games. Means you have to find a way to build it again.
something for the trolls...
once i joined a group, 'friends... care'. they didn't cared.
I always say that any company or group advertisement is usually the lie they have to cover. By making something a motto, it becomes a given that isn't questioned. Kinda like GOG and DRM-free.
"I'd like to know why my experience is different from yours."

>>this is something that's really bothering, kohlrak. not on gaming... Life in general, as you can tell.
Right, and i'm a straight white male, the worst of the worst in today's society. There's something wrong with your approach or something, because i don't have these problems. There's definitely something you're missing, and from this conversation i don't know what it is.

aDyingLight: lightinsilence at the G/thing, in case anyone needs a personal contact.
Not sure what you're saying here. Gog has a private chat feature that uses less features but is far more stable. Not good for long-form writing, though.

so it's up to us to start rebuilding it, i guess.
not only guessed, but am failing in trying something about it.
Find out why.

and it's not that hard. it's in our faces, each and every day. and i think it's just as simple as deciding to do something about it, instead of suffering from it. but it will not work if the two of us just talk about it, nor the 'audience' fails to step forward in their our interest.
People need a bottom line in a form they can't argue with. We can all agree that work sucks, even before corporate culture, so it's a convenient little catch-all excuse. We need concrete numbers.

ask executives for an answer. ask billionaires, corrupt politics, big sharks and greedy owners. bankers worldwide. it's working, for them. and they act in their own interests, as much as we fail in doing the same. "it's. just. simple", to quote your neighbour.
When your friend is cheating at battle ship every time you have to pee, you quit playing battleship with him. This means showing everyone the numbers, then getting everyone to drawl out their 401ks so the hedgefund managers have nothing to work with.

there are people doing this already. and the populace won't listen because no effort is being made in gathering efforts in pointing them an effective solution. they have no reasons to get themselves into something. my efforts were towards that... and failed to get an audience among leaders, amidst this provoked crisis, rounded by people sick of lies and having their own share of lack of confidence. i don't know what else i could do, alone, so here i am.
I've heard arguments that make sense, but I haven't actually seen any math. The populace doesn't have a convincing argument being thrown at them. They know something's up, but they don't know what all is going on, because there's nothing really all that convincing being said.

yes, i'm talking to you, reading this. can't you really do something? anything? will you completely ignore that everything's being discussed concerns YOU and YOUR world, and i'm just the one shouting out loud we all shouldn't accept any of this?

no, this is not a play, this is not a social experiment, i am not a youtuber trying to prank anyone, i am a real person struggling to find reasonable reasons to continue, refusing anything that's just another illusion.
we were instructed, carefully handled towards accepting such things are 'normal', and now the rope is tighter. but... it's normal, the entire world is suffering and... see? there are people happier than you who have no internet... no schooling... no job... no food... no medicine... no clothing... no one to lean on... no HUMAN REFERENCES [and that's the point we're already in!]... but it's ok. it's normal being a zombie working for the system. after all we're having no LIFE but it's normal, there's someone dead around us to tell it could be worse.
It's fine to notice, but this isn't convincing. It sounds like a doomsayer preacher shouting in city streets. There might be truth to it, but it also sounds like a scam. Your argument is incomplete. It's not enough to identify a problem, but you must also suggest a course of action.

no, kohlrak, this is not being enough. people do know the problem their Lives are. they need answers. we need to find those answers. together. this is what i'm asking you guys, here. it's not all about me. no one seemed to care reading the website, at least no one commented about it, but we need to unite.
No, your average person just thinks we're in hard times. They know something's wrong, but they don't know what's wrong. When they see someone shouting in the streets unable to give them concrete examples, rather than vague ones, with also no proposed solutions, it's not going to work. Sure, you're not going to convince everyone, but you're not convincing anyone, not even me, and I'm seeing things at a conscious level. You're leaving me with the impression that you know something's up, but have no idea what it actually is outside of some vague abstract terms. It's like trying to talk to atheists about God: no one is going to change their worldview that is keeping them alive over some gut feeling.

EDIT: To be clear, solutions oftne become obvious when a concrete problem has been identified. The fact that we're short on solutions means that the problem is still nebulous to us: we know where to find teh problem, but we can't put our finger on it. We know there's a monster in the trees, but we don't know which tree to shoot at, let alone where to aim to hit the head or other vital organs to kill it.

guys, i'm around.
please take this as me being responsible with you, for the support and care i'm receiving. i'm really sorry for the entire thing but it's working, people are listening, stepping forward and i'm also having conversations on what we could actually do. anyone else interested, please contact me.

i still have a lot to reply and will do. i'll put some tasks an effort as i'm 3 days out, but will come back for you.

thanks. thanks a lot, people.
I don't have a lot of in depth analysis to offer you, OP. However, what I am going to tell you is this: there is always lights at the end of our tunnels, but sometimes we need to grab a shovel and create them. The depression, apathy, angst and negativity can be such a drain on us, a way for our brains to kill our motivations to continue to keep established normals.

I'm upper middle aged, and once found myself in a position that plainly sucked. I'd just been let go from a job I'd spent over a decade helping to build up to a local city institution, only to watch greed, gross incompetence from ownership and receivers destroy it with a death of a thousand cuts. It broke me. For almost a year, I wallowed. I gained weight. I cut myself off from everyone around me. I relived all my past failings daily, and desperately burrowed into games as an attempt to escape from having to feel anything at all.

I got passed over for a promising job at another rising new company in town, and I felt even worse. I resigned myself into going back to a job that had already betrayed me once, then failed at the entrance "exam." I contemplated ways to simply subsist, but it was my family, and not my blood family, my family who earned that title, who brought me back. I found another new job, and I determined it was going to be different. I was going to fundamentally change who I am, and wear my scars like trophies, and never apologize for who I am, mars and all. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I care about those around me. I can be taken advantage of, but I decided that it was so much more important to me to live my life as if no one owed me anything, and it opened my eyes to just how judgemental and unapproachable I'd been in the past. Unbearable. Pretentious. Arrogant. Cocky. Self-analysis with brutal honesty is hard. Highlighting your own shortcomings is something we don't like to do, as humans. Admitting that we're fallible, we make mistakes, we have bad days, we're not doing anything personal, can be like pulling teeth for some. It's also the pathway to making those integral improvements to our own lives and moving forward.

You will not run miles in a day. You will fall. You will stumble. Others will try to trip you up, but understanding that fundamentally, it's not always personal, or that sometimes they're stumbling too, and didn't mean to, allows you to eventually come to terms and start moving towards where your own goals lie. One step. Slow motion. Understanding that I choose to let others effect my life negatively, allowed me to make drastic changes in my own life, that lead me to where I am now.

Friends. Financial security. My own large loft apartment that I get to decorate and improve. Energy for fitness, and the ability to just get up, go outside, breathe in the fresh air and be genuinely thankful that I'm able to wake up in the morning and take that one step in the direction I need to go for MY goals. I'm not trying to make this about me, but I understand betrayal very well. We can only choose to dwell on that factor for so long before it's time to stop allowing those that don't deserve your headspace to continue to monopolize the life you have, instead of renovation to make room for the life you wish to lead.

I don't have a magic bullet for you. I just want you to know you're not alone, and the power is yours. Maybe I'll see you on the other side, and until then, I have a shovelful to move so I can reach my own light. :)

kohlrak: ...
hi lads.
i'm calming down, took Tom's advice and got myself a bit more time to recover, since i'm really feeling people are willing to actually help.

thanks to those of you who'll really join forces. unfortunately, i need it.

"Your issue in particular is a little more tangible than the normal problems."

>>definetely.

"You aren't getting the benefits of affirmitive action"

>>on the contrary, i always took the unfair blame and always ended in prejudice, once, a $ 200k one so the company wouldn't had the close doors after having their case against me closed. i always ran things on my own, so late days are a final scream from someone who did his best in living his Life the best he could, despite everything else, generally in disfavor in the last 14 years.

fourteen. years. fighting. hard. mostly. alone.

"white."

>>white. yet i refuse to see labels when dealing with people but i'm aware that's not the way system works.

"Your concern is providing for a family"

>>having lost incredible girls for it, this... social burden that's implacable when it comes to men. yes, it's a blame on me, but when you see millionaires [two, in my case] leaving you as you're honestly failing [because you're honest, sometimes!!!], it's hard to get the entire picture on what actual grounds our strutures are built upon.

"you also seem to have some problemsd that are actually uncommon. The question is, why? Why is it you have a hard time finding friendly people when they're all around?"

>>once a friend, numerologist, highly profiled executive at Unilever, told me in my glory days i had this mark, loneliness. back then that sounded crazyness, having a sweet family, friends travelling hundreds of miles to stay entire weeks along us, having to refuse job offers because, well... i had three already. now i have to think again, and yes, that still sounds me crazyness. superstitions are definitely not a driving force in my Life but it's sure you ask questions when facing this entire wall of madness you run into at a certain point.

"they're likely lashing out in response to issues you might have underlying that are the result of mistreatment during childhood"

>>while it's clear to me i had my problems, what's currently causing the lashing responses [and yes, that's ANOTHER problem on top of the others, since it's IMPOSSIBLE to put them aside at this point] is this negative attitude everyone put their fingers at, no one willing to help me solve. which's not the way i did my entire Life [just check my response to a person who tried to beat me while explaining their own problems - we're not only 'gog friends' as of now but he's already trying to mobilize other people so we can focus on the issues, mine and my projects'. my public thanks, my Free fellow!].

"there's something you can do about it, but it's a matter of first identifying the problem."

>> bills won't wait for me to solve them and trust me, this is the way i usually treated others prior to this personal hell i am in.

"kinda makes this spooky for a number of reasons."

>> yes. can't say it for you and your reading from this, but i'm afraid this is something that's happening all around, me being a tiny faceless history and i was taking my steps toward a solution, prior to being swallowed by the historic moment myself.

"a risk for taking violent action if you spiral down too dark of a path."

>>against myself, since i failed to attack the core system that's behind millions of mute similar histories i decided to do something about, years ago.

"clearly another problem beneath the surface that, when identified, becomes entirely within your own control."

>>having no time nor money, i'm open to ideas.

Magnitus: ...
hi, Magnitus, thanks for taking the time and care.

"Life is not for the faint of heart... and like to pretend we are civilized, but we're not really."

>>it shouldn't be like that, and i decided to seek for the ones willing to not accept those lies anymore. i'm failing. but i am sure there's more of us who refuse to believe Life MUST me be this mad race for resources that are carefully stolen so we're kept struggling for the basic survival while the plenitude is reserved for the """winners""", self-anything at the heart of those lies.

we'll all lose every time we are led to seek answers inside ourselves while the """leaders""" protect their crimes, make their plans, build their strategies together.

"We're tribal to the core"

>>bingo. and what happens when an entire tower of lies is built to convince us we have to act against our own and natural will to be tribal? we network to share stupidities or seek predatory jobs, but everything else is forbidden since we 'have to seek our inner truth'.

Love is key because Love pulls us from our greedy selves towards other's needs. this is something we should've learned already, but we don't as it's not something encouraged by our leadership, idols-driven culture. we've been carefully taught to idolize leaders instead of expecting them to LEAD US TO COLLECTIVE ACHIEVEMENTS, and we're slowly being taught on how we must accept their monstrosities as normal, as without them, our society would collapse.

lie. lies.
and we must wake up. it's just that's easy, if we have a like-minded group to rely on.

"and our empathy tends to extend only as far as whatever we consider our tribe to be"

>>that's past...

"if you're a complete sociopath, yourself only"

>>...as i'm seeing the number of sociopaths growing exponentially as each and every one now thinks him being the umbilical center of the entire Universe, God Himself being treated as a waiter being tipped 10%, way more in certain cases, as long as churches are now manipulating entire countries, bathing in crimes, no one to put a democratic end to their malevolence.

can't say around you, but pop media is now displaying fictional portraits of what's going on, few able to question themselves what their actual role on this and what they could and should do to put this madness an end. the price being well known for all of us to see.

"but we need to first be aware that we're wired wrong."

>> and i am here asking for help so my ask for enlightened people gains substance. as it's clear, yes, i'm losing myself and it's pretty easy to put this a different light, but i'm also telling i'm failing to find well aware people so we join strengths and start this movement towards a different ending for a good number of us, as many as we can reach.

"they'll fix our genes... to actually make us more civilized"

>>what are the realistic chances, from what our ENTIRE HISTORY tells us, Magnitus? do you really believe we're in hands able to 'fix us' so we all benefit more or less equally of the greatness humankind is able to provide? really?

"be genuine"

>>it's working less and less. anyway i refuse to change, i refuse to give away on being genuine and start the insanity of lessening parameters. my first relationship endured almost 10 years of legit happiness, my 2007 breakdown put an end to this, since then 1.5 to 2, 2.5 years being the average lifespan for them.

lately it takes 2, 3 months to see the end, the attempts being more and more sparse.

similar thing goes to friendships.

i'm watching the changes. i'm witnessing them. i'm afraid for the near future, the present already being this hard for me to endure as i find less and less HUMANS around me. yes, it's weirdly sci-fi-ish. i'm really concerned about our future as what defines us as 'human' is weakening month after month. years ago i literally cried for help at this big church full of people in a desperate effort to have this girl a transplant. no one bothered to step up. not a single Soul. i'm afraid of what's coming. and my Life is already destroyed.

"don't be a pickup artist"

>>any, ANY sort of manipulation makes me sick. it's demonic in nature. i am not a superstitious/conspirationist person despite some ideas may sound alike, i must admit. i'm a reasonable, programming/science oriented person.

"you will fail a lot before you succeed"

>>great thing being i have stories to tell. that mean a thing to me, introspective, shy and boring kid i used to be. but it's becoming dangerously hopeless as i'm failing to find this Partner while the world crumbles and having my own family is EVERYTHING i always hoped for.

hi, Gamez.
i really can't send you messages, despite you being listed as a friend. so please don't think it's a decision on my end.

"The score system here means close to nothing"

>>it's showing. our conversation was great, thanks...

"and he did post a good bit at the start of his comment"

>>yes, i can take that anyway. thanks for the care.

"but merely went to bed for the night earlier."

>>not a problem, it's not a job. for none of us.
i'm still worried, anyway. something must happen. i'm trying to cool down and wait a bit instead of... well, you know. it's being reasonable, as people are do showing up and we're discussing some plans. i am trying to convince myself this time will be different, SOMETHING WILL actually change. but...

yes. years, years of being this beaten do destroy one's confidence.

=-=-=

"making others happier is one of the reasons I myself help out..."

>>this WILL sound silly, but despite the majority of my efforts and dedication towards others [and yes, i used to have no limits on this - no limits at all, sometimes], i can't say this makes me happy at all. having felt this down, i finally caught myself refraining from picking phone calls from others i knew were asking for help. yes, that makes me feel bad, but i wasn't, i am in no condition to offer anyhting at all to anyone in the time being. if the former doesn't make me happy, this do makes me feel a bad person. which i am definetely not. anyway, i'm trying to preserve myself. finally.

"not be able to change the world to a significant degree, but the little we can do can sometimes make a big impact"

>>...is this hard to imagine we could and should do the next step? the good consequences and possibilities would simply sky-rocket, but after 4 years of failures considering the greater picture, i wonder on quitting.

and that's partially related to the state that i am in, 'coz the consequences are already there to tell something MUST be done!

"A pet that requires less work/care might possibly be a good idea for the OP, though."

>>respectfully disagreeing, again i say: i have no room for anything other than actual solutions. no room at all. yes, i can figure the side benefits and etc, but i have to face my destiny, one way or another. tired of trying, tired of make believes, tired of improvising, tired of being beaten and betrayed and all of that ****.

StingingVelvet: Anyone over 30 who isn't ground down by what a shit world the shitty humans have built has a level of blissful ignorance that I envy.

Genocide2099: Or we have adapted to it. By the way, did you really mean over 30 to should it be below 30?
Nope, he meant over 30....Life experience teaches us this:

aDyingLight: having lost incredible girls for it, this... social burden that's implacable when it comes to men. yes, it's a blame on me, but when you see millionaires [two, in my case] leaving you as you're honestly failing [because you're honest, sometimes!!!], it's hard to get the entire picture on what actual grounds our strutures are built upon.
You obviously haven't learned your lesson. These are not incredible girls (unless you might be referring to your children who had the potential to become some). Give them some agency to choose whether or not to fight the system themselves.
once a friend, numerologist, highly profiled executive at Unilever, told me in my glory days i had this mark, loneliness. back then that sounded crazyness, having a sweet family, friends travelling hundreds of miles to stay entire weeks along us, having to refuse job offers because, well... i had three already. now i have to think again, and yes, that still sounds me crazyness. superstitions are definitely not a driving force in my Life but it's sure you ask questions when facing this entire wall of madness you run into at a certain point.
Great, a self-fulfilling prophecy. Have you ever heard of borderline personality disorder? I don't mention it to reference it to you ,but to give you an example. These tend to be people who have so much paranoia about loosing friends and families that they do insane shit and say things that just generally make people not want to be around them. Their fear an obession of "When are you leaveing me!?" just makes people get so sick and tired of the drama that they have to leave for their own sanity. Ask any woman, the more a man wants to have a woman, the more that woman can't find interest in the man. Same thing acutally happens in the reverse, too: if a woman is a complete slut, no one wants her.
while it's clear to me i had my problems, what's currently causing the lashing responses [and yes, that's ANOTHER problem on top of the others, since it's IMPOSSIBLE to put them aside at this point] is this negative attitude everyone put their fingers at, no one willing to help me solve. which's not the way i did my entire Life [just check my response to a person who tried to beat me while explaining their own problems - we're not only 'gog friends' as of now but he's already trying to mobilize other people so we can focus on the issues, mine and my projects'. my public thanks, my Free fellow!].
yeah, and it's common for people with problems. It's weird, though, that most people that complain about someone being an attention seeker are unable to see the attention seeking within themselves.
bills won't wait for me to solve them and trust me, this is the way i usually treated others prior to this personal hell i am in.
No, but your ability to find friends and all that jazz is not a bill.
yes. can't say it for you and your reading from this, but i'm afraid this is something that's happening all around, me being a tiny faceless history and i was taking my steps toward a solution, prior to being swallowed by the historic moment myself.
The truth about historic figures is they're seldom the reason for everything they get credit for. Keep that in mind. This is most obvious when looking up the history of inventions.
against myself, since i failed to attack the core system that's behind millions of mute similar histories i decided to do something about, years ago.
And i called that much when talking with a user who pointed me to this threat. The concern i have is that if you get irate enough, at looking only at the external problems, that you'll end up choosing to not limit that to yourself. You certainly have the recipie of a mass shooter about you.
having no time nor money, i'm open to ideas.
That, not so much. I keep running into people who are in a boat like me who can only get part time jobs and have to work 2 to survive, but still don't have enough money to justify their constant time at work. Yeah, i get what's going on. That said, your money isn't your only complaint, and there are things you can do about that other stuff.

What happened at your last job?
