PaterAlf: I'm not even sure the quoted Tinybuild employee knew what he was talking about. Several of their games on GOG are up-to-date, some even have their soundtracks and art books here. So it doesn't seem to be an official company policy.

It might be a shitty thing that some of their games are outdated, but I don't see a reason to boycott them as a whole.
Peter if you can get me conclusive proof ( I dont own any tinybuild games) I will happily shut it down.

Pathologic 2:
GOG = 1.4.25127
Steam = 1.4.25127

Artbook and Soundtrack DLC are on GOG as well.

Graveyard Keeper:
GOG = 1.124
Steam = 1.124

Artbook, Soundtrack and Collector's Edition (including both) aren't on GOG though.

Clustertruck:
Can't find the exact version number on Steam, but looking at the changelogs, the game should be up-to-date.

It is missing the level editor and the soundtrack DLC though.

Swag and Sorcery:
GOG = 1.030
Steam = 1.030

Lovely Planet:
I don't know about this one.

Hello Neighbor:
GOG = 1.2
Steam = 1.3

Game is indeed outdate and missing soundtrack DLCs and Collector's Edition.

Phantom Trigger:
Not sure about this one. It got an update on Steam on release day. Might already be included in the GOG release. The soundtrack DLC is missing though.

The Final Station:
Can't find the exact version numbers, but judging from the changelogs the game should be up-to-date. DLCs are on GOG as well.

Punch Club:
It was outdated for years, but it got an update some weeks ago. It's up-to-date now. Deluxe Edition and Upgrade path are on GOG as well.

Party Hard:
It's outdated and missing DLCs.

Party Hard 2:
Outdated and missing DLCs.

So it's a mixed bag (and I certainly won't praise them for being an awesome publisher), but as far as I can see only the Party Hard games and Hello Neighbor are really outdated.

Cadaver747: I'm going to buy Pathologic 2 one day, sorry. I totally understand the situation about publisher vision about piracy and updates but it has nothing to do with a game from a developer which I want to support and to play their game.
Buy it. Just don't buy it here for your own sake. The game will not be updated properly and won't have all content released here if Tinybuild holds to their policy. It has plenty to do with that dev because it means that dev shares the publisher's opinion, or at least that they aren't turned away by it. Doing business with those who do business like that inherently means supporting that mentality. Which is exactly why GOG needs to do something.
I made a wishlist entry concerning this:

Let me sharpen my pitchfork.

Lord_Kane: 2. Actively seek and get refunds for any tinybuild games you own
Uhm... no? Look, I get why everyone is pissed, I really do, but the only game of theirs I own (Party Hard) works and always worked perfectly fine and as such I frankly don't give a damn about it getting updates in the future or not. I paid for it, I got it, it works - I don't feel cheated and I don't feel demanding a refund for a product that worked perfectly would be justified.
Sure, let me pitch my sharpfork by continuing to not own any Tinybuild games.

Also, I'll be grabbing handfuls of popcorn in anticipation of one of 3 responses from GOG.

1) None, because these sorts of petty squabbles are beyond their caring.
2) A generic PR reply that amounts to, "To do so would be illegal"
3) A generic PR reply that amounts to "Yeah, sure whatever."

Fair enough, I am about to declare the whole thing dead anyways, since it turns out most games are updated, or maybe not I don't know.

Lord_Kane: Dear GOGger's

As many of you know a recent controversy has arisen with the game publisher "TinyBuild"
for those that do not know, check out this thread: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/lets_talk_about_tinybuild_and_gog
The only game that seems appealing(of theirs) to me is hello neighbor, and i'd likely buy it on a sale(deep sale).

That said, I feel that boycotts don't do much as the one who DO buy often drown out/outwiegh those who boycott.

Also asking for refunds would hurt GOG and not Tinybuild as the money would likely have to come from gog's own pocket.

Imo, a better alternative would be to make a stink and a scene on social media/etc and get some e-celebs/news sites to carry the story and cause bad PR for Tinybuild.

Aside on "boycotting' in general: I usually never do it unless a company does something truly evil. If a company does what Tinybuild has done it(to me) is not that bad to want to boycott over.

Tauto: Well,I agree.But Gog should stop selling said games immediately,no if's or but's.
Gog might be stuck under contract to sell said games for a set period, sadly.

I also think one should be able to buy something and enjoy it(USED if one can to not give money to bad people who do bad things) irregardless of what a company has done.

There are so many media companies that produce good product that i'd have to skip out on if I boycotted every single thing they have done.

Normally I would agree, but something about tinybuild feels off, maybe its a lack of sleep or I am just seeing things

Thank you, breja, always a voice of reason. My thoughts exactly (on Graveyard Keeper). I do have another of their games in wishlist (Swag) and likely will pick it up later.

People, DO continue to let the publisher know that they are wrong about DRM vs DRM-free. DO let GOG know they need to have a firm hand with publishers who are lax on updates, but let's not make these games vanish.

(Because a game that's only available on a DRM platform is a game that just doesn't exist.)

Well there's something I don't think I've ever been called around here before. And trust me, I've been called a lot of things around here. Many I couldn't even repeat now or I'd get banned :D

Voice of reason, yeah you pretty much are, I dont know why people say that shit about you, you are pretty level headed. Thank you for stopping by in my thread.

[edited because "yeah you are" sounded sarcastic which is not what I am meaning.]

EDIT 2:
Okay, after getting some news that A) most of the tinybuild games have been updated and B) some reconsideration that this was an anger induced overreaction on my part and C) has spurned discussion at the very least. I am shutting this boycott down.
Feel free to comment on the thread still, I am not going to ask it be locked.

Well,if Gog was smart enough,keeping games updated would of been one of the conditions.
