I so love this series, so I will gladly revisit this here game. Also, feel free to put me down for King's Bounty: The Legend as well :)
(gonna try to beat it this time......as long as things like HDD failures & other bad luck don't interfere again)
Aside: the above Ben Jordan game has one banger of a soundtrack

Hello bluethief & dear time travellers!

Another time travel to a year in gaming where I played only a couple of games from.
But I am still stuck in another period, and actual moving back towards the beginnings of these threads.

Recently, I returned to play a few old submarine simulations, which unfortunately are not available on GOG.COM, yet. Among those "Sub Command" (2001) and "688(i) Hunter/Killer" (1997) from Sonalysts, as well as Sierra's "Fast Attack" (late 1995 / early 1996).

Besides the few games I already played on the current list, I am not seeing something I would like to play soon or have momentarily access to.
Hence, for now I am not participating this time.

Nonetheless, have fun all participating time travellers!

Kind regards,
foxgog
A few additions :

- Alone in the Dark 5 : Near Death Investigation
- Cryostasis
- Death to Spies : Moment of Truth
- The Club
- Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2
I might play a bit of Farcry 2.
It has a horrible story, and the game is repetitive, badly designed and boring in many aspects (go from point A to point B, encounter the same road checkpoint again...) ... but in some others, mostly combat, it's a masterpiece - the more realistic and immersive Far Cry game made up to the date.

So my memories of it are a weird mix of absolute boredom and insane immersive fun.
I'll replay Braid

It's a great concept but the replay value is not so great after you discover the twist and also trying to remember how you got past all the time-shifted stuff is a new challenge in itself.
I've never completed Braid. So I will replay (and hopefully finish) it as well.
Thanks for continuing these.

Hm, at least from what's listed now, the only one I played was King's Bounty: The Legend. Still really recommend it, for gameplay but also art style, though the story leaves much to be desired.

No problem!

If in the meantime you find a game you're willing to play, the thread is always open for it :)

Just signed you up!

I never played Far Cry 2 because I always heard about how boring it was. The only games in the series I played were 1 and 3 and I think I'm good. I don't think I have the patience to go through another Far Cry. The Ubisoft formula is exhausting.

I gotta get Braid one day. Heard good things about it.

Unfortunately King's Bounty: The Legend is not my type of game, but I'm sure is a great recommendation for people who are into it.
My progress on Braid:

I've completed world 2 and got all the puzzle pieces. I'v also played world 3, but I am still missing about half of the puzzle pieces. While I like the concept of the game, I also start to remember why I didn't like and never completed it when I played it back then. It's not always easy to figure out what you can or can't do with the time rewind mechanism. And quite often it's more frustrating than entertaining to figure it out.
