I've visited 2005 cinemas (#picrel) and there seems to be nothing spectacular there.

InkPanther: That was rather unexpected. :)

If I may add a suggestion for the list:
Blitzkrieg 2 from https://www.gog.com/en/game/blitzkrieg_2_anthology
There's also https://www.gog.com/en/game/blitzkrieg_anthology but Blitzkrieg itself is from 2003.
Added Blitzkrieg 2, thanks :)

No 88 and a few of Green Day save the year :)

I can't believe Batman Begins is already that old. And Madagascar too!

§pec†re: Be careful with some of the settings or you might get the bug which stops the game progressing.
avatar
ciemnogrodzianin: Yeah, I've just faced the problem. Again :|
Any idea how to avoid it?
I don't know. I first noticed it when fiddling with the other settings aside from fullscreen\windowed mode.

I've finished the game without a problem after returning to initial options, but I'm not sure, perhaps it's just a matter of luck.
I started to play Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood.

I remember I finished the first part in 2019 and quickly jumped into the second, but dropped it because I didn't like the gameplay – the sequel is a bit harder and also frustrating because of not-so-open areas (invisible walls and narrow path you must follow, which is quite nonsense for a game trying to show you how important is to keep cover and flank on real battlefield). So far I've finished 2 missions (chapters?) and I quite liked the game. Let's see if I'll able to finish the game this time.

Guys, could you believe YouTube was launched in 2005?! :O (wiki) It's... it's just hard to believe :D

I remember! Good times. It launched the same year I entered college!

Completed! But I'm tired like after hard work! :D

This game is madness in terms of difficulty and the worst thing is that you very often clearly see a better way to achieve you goals, but invisible walls makes you to go the hard way. Road to Hill was also released in 2005 and Earned in Blood is probably a try to use the same game code and assets to quickly make more money. I hope the third game is much better, but I'll rather wait for 2008 Time Travel as it's enough of this genre for now.

In 2005 Liverpool played their UEFA Champions League Final, which was probably the most spectacular game I have ever watched. They were losing 0:3 and eventually won on penalties. I still have great respect for Liverpool to this day :)

That was without any question the best Champions League Final ever.

Awesome, congrats!

I never played a Brothers in Arms game, even though I love fps. But for some reason these games never spoke to me. Do they play/feel like Medal of Honor: Allied Assault or the original Call of Duty?

I love CoD and like MoH. BiA are different - more difficult, more focused on realism and tactics (you need to command your squad and use them to get covered, flank you enemies etc.) and also come with some story (probably a bit deeper than CoD and MoH series). You can lost your people here and also there are no magical first-aid-kits :)

I rather prefer simplicity of CoD's gameplay :D but I appreciate how BiA tries to show a more realistic view on the subject.
Signed myself up for Psychonauts!

One of the greatest platformers of all time! Bought the Psychonauts 2 time ago but I haven't time to play it yet, hear is extremely good though.

Might be interesting, not sure. There are lots of games that I ignored in the past for whatever reason that I got to play more recently, and ended up being fantastic games (IMO) that I've been missing out all these years. Maybe BiA will be one of those series in the future.
