Congrats to all who finished their games!
I've updated OP. Let me know (PM or here) if I missed something/someone.
Playing Terror from the Deep I felt like the marines in Aliens 2.
I decided I had to refine my skills a bit, so I started a nice game of OpenXcom instead, this time playing it Ironman. When I completed the game a few years ago, I felt that I should have played it Ironman, since it was not as difficult as I thought on Normal difficulty. First effort ended badly when my base was attacked, and I just didn't have enough firepower to bring down three (maybe more) discs.

So I will return to TFTD later.

Did you get to see one of those shipping lane missions in TFTD? Those were always the most daunting and impressive levels, at least for me.

3 Cyberdiscs? Those blasted things are why I always made sure I had ample alien on hand. Seeing as they are 2x2 a successful rocket hit means they take 4x as much damage. Before I read about this weakness they were always the bane of my existence in the early game.

Heh, that's kind of where things went crazy and I realized I was out of my depths, so to speak.
I realized I definitely needed to relearn the game properly.

So 2x2 makes up for them being resistant to explosion damage?

Yeah it seems so, at least for strong enough explosives as noted here. But luckily if memory serves you can purchase the large rockets from the start of the game already.

Matewis: The maintenance depots for the white cargo trains can still be improved though.

Dark_art_: Now, to redeem myself for the shame to public admit have used a wakthrough, because no one should ever do that or save scum for that matter, wich I never did, not once, ever, (today...) I am playing Mortal Kombat 3!
It's called saving....save scumming is not and imo should never be a phrase anyone should ever ever ever use. ;)

Phew, for a minute there with all the train pics you posted I thought maybe the trains had taken over the poor humans terminator style(or you were maybe breeding train-human hybrids). o.0 ;D

Seems I got lost in time.
I've completed Anvil of Dawn. Last dungeon was really confusing and I needed a walkthrough to get to the end. It's fine when there is a complicated puzzle, but here the game gave you no hint how to solve it except for endless trial and error.

But besides that I really liked the the game.

Now I'll start my time machine and join you in 1996.

Congratulations – definitely not the easiest challenge here.

See you in 1996 :)
