GamezRanker: I was making a reference to the game hydrophobia(where the protag is afraid of the water). ;)
do you recommend it?

Somewhat....it is a bit short and ends on a cliffhanger that was never resolved(iirc they didn't make the rest), and the one scanning mechanic (a screen like tool used to hack/scan things in game) is a bit cumbersome to use....still, it is decent enough imo.

If you get it, btw, my advice is to get the new version with redone graphics.
I can be stupidly stubborn sometimes. I beat that cursed pro league in Screamer. Then I beat the bullet league, which was a breeze in comparison. And now I'm the greatest driver ever with a very bad blood pressure.

bluethief: @ciemnogrodzianin you might have missed it (...)
I'm sorry for the delay. I made a proper edit in OP during the week thanks to GamezRanker, cause I've got a bit busy week and wasn't able keep myself up to date. I hope it's back to normal now :) Congratulations, SW:DF does not look easy to complete! :D
I've also made some other updates in OP. Sorry to all!

Zimerius: Do hope my last years playthrough of command and conquer is at least worthy of a notification badge ;)
I think you should at least launch the game this month to qualify.
I also regret playing some of these games shortly before and not being able to get a star here :D

avatar
PaterAlf: Now I've got 8 clues and for the first time in the game no clear direction where to go next.
To be honest, I'm quite good at getting to this "no-idea-what-to-do-next" checkpoint in most of dungeon crawlers ;))

PetrusOctavianus: I've decided that now is the right time to play Terror from the Deep, using OpenXcom.
Currently RTFM.
Good luck. Manual counts as playing tutorial for good old games, so I'm adding a star ;)

Wow, congrats! I've never expected these old racing games are beatable! :D

No worries...just glad to see ya back and in one piece(and that that side errand I sent ya on to the jurassic period didn't end poorly). :)

If they're not finished, load em up for a bit and it'll count. ;D

Thanks! Luckily for me it turned out to be a short game.

No worries. And thank you for creating this :).

Sometimes you just want to sit back and be mesmerized by all the trains snaking about each other to reach a busy station. Almost 40 trains delivering grain, livestock, coal, oil and steel and delivering produced goods across the land all have this industrial zone as a point of common interaction. Luckily the path signals included in openttd make it much easier to handle this many trains without having to resort to 40 individual station tracks (you could use the vanilla block signals as well to similar effect, but it doesn't work as well)

Kingdom: The Far Reaches
Hm... This game has ridiculously low ratings. People are complaining about dying a lot. It can't be that bad.

The Dig
My second trip to 1995.
A bit disappointing. The intro and the first scenes are really great and promises a nice, old-school science fiction adventure. Unfortunately a lot of things go wrong here. The story is pompous and naive (ok, it may be interpreted as similar to classic sci-fi from golden sf era), the puzzles are terrible (or I'm just dumb, but this game is unbeatable without a lot of try-and-errors or walkthrough), graphics and cut-scenes are inconsistent.

ciemnogrodzianin: The beginning is very promising and actually starts like a good movie.

morolf: When I tried playing that game, I thought so as well, but that first impression didn't last. Stopped pretty early, because I realized I would never be able to finish it without looking into a walkthrough all the time. Very abstract puzzles with few hints (at least that was my impression). Will be interested to read your thoughts on it.
You're absolutely right :( There is a difference between difficulty and forcing player to try different approaches without a single clue. Sometimes I use brute force to simply check all possible combinations or dialogue options – but in this case it's impossible or it'd be hard to use. Not sure how it may be played to be fun.

Is it something like Dragon's Lair Trilogy, where you need to press a correct button in 2 miliseconds to avoid spectacular death? :) That was fun for me and if this one is similar, it'd be nice to try it someday :)

I couldn't tell, I've never played that. And adventure games are not my thing in general, I was curious why it's only 2.7/5. :P

Edt: Dying is definitely a recurring theme...
