Time travel to it to bring it in the present and it should fit perfectly :)
In Anvil of Dawn I've completed the Underwater Maze and the Sunken Ship. Both dungeons were quite linear and the opponents not hard to beat.

Now I've got 8 clues and for the first time in the game no clear direction where to go next. Guess I'll just visit one of the other places and see, if I can find anything interesting there.
There's no subway nor highways in my city, I'm not gonna squander funds on such silly things. But I can build arcologies now. And people are exultant about my rule. The only annoyance is the city council, they dare to undermine my authority by enacting random city ordinances on their own. I'm supposed to be the law here!

Personal Progress Update

Finally finished the game....fun while it lasted, but I still want to travel a bit longer so i'll likely make another stop while i'm back in good ol' 1995. Stay tuned for more info, folks :)

Some final pics for the game below:

1st pic - Toilet trained robots....thought i'd seen it all

2nd Pic - The stars at night are big and bright....clap clap....deep in the heart of Crusader!

(btw to my fellow time travellers also visiting Crusader in 1995: if y'all need any tips when it comes to the ending, lemme know)

Everybody can be a crusader these days, eh? Even me. The profession is losing its prestige. ;)

Yeah, it's like they'll hand out them suits to anyone. ;)

Some tips(might've said some of these earlier):

Blwing up things can reveal switches and etc, but also will make bodies/containers unsearchable if they're destroyed by the 'splosion.

Some extra areas can be opened by rolling over certain sections of floor.

Some items like keycards can be found on/in some bodies or containers, and some codes can be found on terminals.

Being spotted by cameras or trip wires(little red dots on some walls and things in the levels) can be bad, but can sometimes open secret areas with items.

In the Hub, optional video emails/news stories can be watched(for the former, if available) by using the pedestal near the entry teleport & the tv screen in the one area.

The hub is also where you buy extra wpns/ammo/items(from one of the NPCs in one of the areas).

Jumping in this game sucks(not really a tip, just my opinion)

Thanks. I've never managed to get far into the game, maybe 2 or 3 missions.

Anyway, I'm a water nymph now.

So I finished my second trip to 1995 with Comix Zone.

I remember it being one of the last games I got for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. There was nothing like it at the time: playing in our own comic book!! I thought the game looked so dope and the ideia behind was so cool that I asked my parents for that game as a birthday present. I immediately fell in love with it and it's one of my favourite games of that era.

Talk about short and sweet. For me, it's what this game is. Only 6 levels and they're fairly short, but some of them present their challenges. Each level sometimes present you a choice of what panel you want to go next. Normally on way is easier than other, so when you're playing the game for the first time, it's a matter of luck.

Playing now through the game again, and I was surprised with myself at how I still remembered a lot of the things to do and the secrets to find. I think this means how much this game left an impression on me.

The gameplay is fine, a typical 2D beat'em up. Not as solid as Streets of Rage, but it does its job.

My only negatives are how sometimes the frame rate tanks on some instances. It was a problem back in the day and it's still now, no matter on which PC you play it. The other is how the game relies heavenly on how a player needs to be prepared for what's coming. "Did you find the grenade secret in the previous panel to help you on this one?". "No?, well though luck, now you'll have a hard time and probably will die.". Back in the day this would mean dying and having to start everything from scratch. Nowadays it's a different story since you can save.

Overall, it's still a joy to play this game and even after all these years it's still one of a kind, imo, so I highly recommend it.

Well here's hoping you get much further this time. :)

Btw: in a prior post(post 143) I linked a pic showing a hidden wpn/item cache on level 7, if you get that far and want to make use of it.

I'm glad it was the silencer and not me using them things.

As McCoy might say, were he a silencer: "I signed on with this resistance to save the day and silence WEC scum, not to have my atoms scattered back and forth by this gadget."

I've decided that now is the right time to play Terror from the Deep, using OpenXcom.
Currently RTFM.

*GR revs up his chronoskimmer and heads once more into the wilds of 1995*

Next stop: unknown atm....but very weird and very scary
(psst....it be Hexen: Beyond Heretic, y'all)

Took some shots using my patented TimeKam once again...hoping to figure out where I am.

1st Pic- Where am I? These brutish monstrosities just came at me, so I had to wail on em with my character's fists....I had no choice, man. :|

2nd Pic- And now creepty skele-face is making threats against my character....what is up with all the beings in this place? o.0

3rd Pic- Snakes.....why'd it have to be snakes?

4th Pic- (secret level spoiler) Oooh...so shiny...and it goes so well with Pic 3. ;)

5th Pic- Done with the first major area, it seems...but the decor.....it's like skele-face is trying to tell me something.

Eh, must be my imagination.....onward and upward, then....into the wilds of Hexen: Beyond Heretic

Are you playing the game with a source port or is it vanilla?

Source port, but the graphics/sounds are unchanged.
(well minus the crosshair, etc etc...also I minimized the hud as it looks nicer)

On the screenshots...a bit of trivia: the second one is actually a combination of two screenshots I put together to get both lines of Korax's speech onto the picture
