I thought I didn't like cheese until I reached 13 years old or so, it turned out that I never had any, the only "cheese" I ever tasted is that synthetic stuff that Kraft makes from petroleum I believe. Weirdly enough it's another Kraft product that made me realize I did not hate cheese after all, it's called Petit Québec here and is a bland cheddar, but a bland cheddar was perfect for my uneducated palate. Now I like most kind of cheese except most blue ones even if I like a strong cheese. I do not think it is legal here but if I ever went to Italy (unlikely with my anxiety issues) and had enough Grappa before, I would taste Casu Marzu if it was offered to me and I saw other people eating it.
In other word, not liking cheese is like not liking beer or vegetables, it's really easy to find two that taste nothing alike so people who say they do not like it just have not found the right one yet. It pays to be adventurous with food, even if I don't like blue cheese I will try some I don't remember tasting before if offered. Be brave with food you don't like, especially if they come if hundreds or thousands of variety.
But since this is not a cheese thread: Don't let the door hit you in the back, just wait till it swings the other way before comming back.
