joelandsonja: Personally I think the console itself looks decent and it seems like it was given a lot of thought, but I hate the fact that Nintendo insists on putting the D-Pad on the bottom of every controller! I'm not even sure if the D-Pad they use on the system qualifies as an actual D-Pad. I really don't like using the analogue stick when I play video games, and I know a lot of people who feel exactly the same way. I really hope Nintendo will release one controller with the D-Pad on top, and one with the D-Pad on the bottom.
SirPrimalform: It's not like Nintendo are the only ones, Microsoft has always put the D-pad below the analogue stick. It's interesting you say you don't like to use the analogue stick, as (in my experience) most console games of the last 15+ years tend to use the D-pad for secondary functions rather than doubling the left analogue stick, meaning you don't have the option of using the D-pad. Having it at the top of the pad wouldn't necessarily change that.
I have to say, I do prefer the analogue sticks at the top - I find lower sticks hard to use accurately but I have no problem using a D-pad regardless of upper or lower position. In fact, I'm a bit disappointed to see that they've moved the right stick back down again (both sticks were at the top on the Wii U Pro controller, IMO the best controller since the GC).
fr33kSh0w2012: Yeah hey! I was born in the 1980's 1983 to be exact I'm 33 and idiots on the net still refer to me as a "Millennial" BULLSHIT kids born AFTER 2000 should be called millenials!
SirPrimalform: So you were about 17 in 2000? That makes you a millenial, it's a label for people who were coming of age around then, not born around then.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millennials ending birth years ranging from the mid-1990s to early 2000s. early 2000's MAKES you a TRUE MILLENNIAL not the 1980's the 1980's were TOTALLY DIFFERENT to now the kids that are 16 to 17 NOW are the TRUE MILLENIALS
I am the last of GENERATION X kid
Generation X. George Masnick, of the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies puts this generation in the timeframe of
1965 to 1984, in part because it's a neat 20-year period. He also calls it the "baby bust," mocking pundits on Madison Avenue and in the media" that call it Generation X. Ha ha, tough luck.
I am the LAST of generation X anyone born either ON 2000 or until 2010 ARE MILLENNIAL'S people born in the 1990's ALSO ARE NOT MILLENNIAL'S they are GENERATION Y
People born between 1950's and 1979 are GENERATION U/V/W and called BABY BOOMERS
GENERATION Z are Millennial's I am NOT and NEVER will be part of their generation they are the ENTITLEMENT generation and I have been anything BUT entitled the people born Either on or after 2010 are generation A-1 and they are THE MOST ANNOYING AND THE MOST SPOILT BRATS I have ever come across with technology now that I NEVER HAD AS A KID! and they are WORSE for it!
