Why the "Pre 2K" cutoff date? The end of last century was Dec. 31st 2000, this century began Jan 1st 2001. It seems more "poignant" to set this marker for games published prior to Jan 1st 2001, instead of games published Dec. 31 1999 and earlier as Dec 31st 1999 is nothing special. Neither the end of the decade, nor the end of the century.
