Another year, another update. Let's see what we had this year.
In
2014. GOG released
203 game titles (not including DLCs). First release was
Bloodnet on January 9th, and last release was
Drox Operative (and its
DLC) on December 30th. Out of the 203 titles,
72 (35%) were day 1 releases, with
Dreamfall Chapters and
Kromaia just missing out on that list (released on day 2). There are a few more games that were released with a slight delay, those can be found in
the spreadsheet.
We also had
32 (16%) pre-2K games released, while the total number of games ten years old or more is
41 (20%), with
Hitman 3: contracts being released here 1 month before it reached the 10 years mark.
Compared with 2013, GOG released 13 pre-2K less (32 to 45), 18 10+ years old less (41 to 59), but 20 more day 1 releases (72 to 52) and 20 more games (203 to 183). GOG also started releasing movies, with the catalogue currently containing 45 of them.
And a quick sum of the GOG years so far
2008 had
65 releases,
29 (45%) of which were pre-2K ones.
2009 had
114 releases,
47 (41%) of which were pre-2K ones.
2010 had
79 releases,
35 (44%) of which were pre-2K ones, and
36 (46%) being 10+ years old.(

2011 had
85 releases,
48 (56%) of which were pre-2K ones,
57 (67%) being 10+ years old, and

2012 had
160 releases,
48 (30%) of which were pre-2K ones,
64 (40%) being 10+ years old, and
24 (15%) being day one releases.
2013 had
183 releases,
45 (25%) of which were pre-2K ones,
59 (32%) being 10+ years old, and
52 (28%) being day one releases.
2014 had
203 releases,
32 (16%) of which were pre-2K ones,
41 (20%) being 10+ years old, and
72 (35%) being day one releases.
Total (so far) of
889 releases,
284 (32%) of which were pre-2K ones,
322 (36%) being 10+ years old on release, and
149 (17%) being day one releases.
