Not to be confused with Sudoku.

I still cant make heads or tails of those games...

How GOG managed to be beaten by Steam in that case is just beyond me. Tommo is here...Night Dive is here....and Put Put is not...

There are so few games for children and Humungous classic catalog would perfectly fill the gap. A slim hope: maybe they will keep this announcement to somehow counterbalance this R&D project that concerns only newes games?

I just saw pricing on Steam - 3-4 EUR a piece is ok for me. We have $4.99 games with 3h of content (Shivah).
Damn! I want to show those retro, colorful, charming games to my kids. GOG why don't you let me?

I can't really make a witty comment about Sudoku because I actually enjoy it every now and again.

Try "inspector parker", a big fish game. It's pretty cool, almost the same gameplay principle but with cluedo-like crime, sleuthing, clues, instead of numbers.

cmdr_flashheart: Nice, that reasoning is just too perfect to be a coincidence. And looks like a cool game, too!

Grargar: Can Sudeki, a 9-years old game, be considered a classic?
There was a time when GOG only dealt in classic games, back then the games had to be at least 5 years old. So yes 9 years more than qualifies.

AdamR: Googling the letters and numbers brought up the 1992 L.A. Riots... Any games based on that? :P
1992? It says 1692 DE 1953. No 1992 in there.

Urnoev: something with The Crucible
Crucible? 5:1 for O'Sullivan. But that's not really surprising...

edit: Never heard of Sudeki, but... This looks great!

How the heck is it a sudeki?
avatar
Epitaph666: Take into consideration that if Sudeki comes to GOG, it will mean that they struck a deal with Microsoft, so more MS games will come here.

I doubt they did though. Usually deals of that magnitude are celebrated with fireworks, wine and impalements.

Sudeki's cover is really cool though (always loved huge japanese boobs).

Hope it's Hexen or (one hit wonder) STRIFE!
On the publishing note, Climax Group is listed as the publisher on Steam, not Microsoft. We also have other games here that were once under the Microsoft Game Studios banner, but as a developer (which they were not for Sudeki), so maybe they got their rights back (Climax), or Microsoft was a publisher for the XBOX version.

I'd also love to see a shooter like Hexen here :)

By corresponding the numbers with their place on the periodic table of elements and adding "DE" in the middle, you get Sudeki.

I think GOG wanted to bundle the games similar to most of their Activision titles. I have a little (slim) hope that once all the games have been released on Steam, GOG will be able to work out bundle deals of some sort.

However, if Reddit is any indication of how many older gamers feel about these games, I think GOG really missed out on a chance to make some decent money through these games.

Hmm...I think it is a good question for this Twitch.tv...?

But did they? Skimming through the reddit page reveals that people are more than happy to get them on Steam - I spotted only one single post asking about a GOG release and it went answered.

Or are you referring to a different reddit thread?

On a side note, I trust GOG to know how much money their customers are willing to spend per game type and content.
