He is probably referring to mosquito repellent lotion, perhaps even the spray variant. :P
If only I could remember the name of that old game where you had to kill swarms of the bloody slurpers before they bled your hairy arm dry.

Salve Regina came to mind, so I did a search on "video game Regina", and Dino Crisis came up. Apparently she's the heroine (never played it myself), and it did get a PC port.
