Plus however dated it looks by today's standards Arena is definitely 90s and not 70s/80s if you're going by the interview, unless that guy had been on the DRM free IPA heavily before it started...

karnak1: The arrival of Disney and Paradox was quite a surprise at the time.

Grargar: While Paradox's arrival was mostly out of the blue, Disney's was most definitely not. For starters, GOG had hyped that they had closed a deal with a big publisher. 1-2 months afterwards, they announced that a countdown would appear in the site within a month. Then, the countdown (with numbers themed after Indiana Jones, Monkey Island and Star Wars) appeared, before the first 6 LucasArts games showed up.
You're right. I didn't remember that.

fortune_p_dawg: Y'know... as much as I love the idea of Bethesda coming aboard, I just don't think that's going to happen this week. The fanfare just isn't there, and I think GOG would be making more noise if the house that built The Elder Scrolls was scheduled to show up.
Plus they would need a whole forum dedicated to all the mods you need in order to make Oblivion/Skyrim anything like a game and not just an empty engine.

I wouldn't mind SSI, though my main concern is that release prices seem to be going up each time, if they want £5-£7 each then its going to kill the excitement.

Nah, I think many people here would be content with the 'vanilla' Elder Scrolls games, I know I would. I'd pick the whole series up without batting an eyelash. That said, I do love me some mods, but I don't think that would be the focus (at least, at first).
Less than 25 minutes remaining....KEEP GUESSING :P

Oblivion was very bland, also the fact that everything levelled with you meant that it is just got silly very quickly. It really need Oscuro's overhaul. Even with that the main quest line last around 5 minutes.

However that being said, its still better than Skyrim, which although had less generic underground parts, and a further draw distance, also totally failed on engaging storyline.

Don't get me wrong here, I have all the ES games, and have played them in various states of modding, but vanilla is the one I could never play again. I mean bandits in glass armour, could just let them take out the dragons.

Anyways, I doubt very much we will see them here, Bethseda have already stated they are as DRM free as they can be, which in Skyrim sense is not at all.
*swings for the fence*

Dragon Age?
Hey while we wait here's a ridiculously cheap joke I made up. (It was posted in a thread which is now deleted, so I am re-posting for preservation)

Two undertakers walk into a bar.

One of them says, "I'll have a Bud Lite."

The other says, "I'll have a Miller Lite."

The bartender serves them, then says, "It's unusual for you two to be coming in this early."

The undertakers reply, "Well, it's our memorial for Bud Miller".
5 more minutes.. will it come out before I have to go...
